Came across some N320 last week through a very benevolent LGS manager. First time I'd seen any in a long time. At least there's some signs of availability.

Anyone have any experience with "sun sleeves"?
michael b. replied to michael b.'s topic in USPSA/IPSC Shooting
As a follow up, I did get a pair of the Pearl Izumi's. I'm certainly not dissappointed with the performance! Excellent UV protection, and noticeably cooler than just bare skin. If you pour some water on them and keep them damp its like having little air conditioners for your arms. -
A few years ago when I first started shooting I got one for my S&W M&P. I didn't notice any significant change in that set up, but they may have improved since then.

Anyone have any experience with "sun sleeves"?
michael b. replied to michael b.'s topic in USPSA/IPSC Shooting
On top of having skin that burns easily, I relocated to Nashville last year from Milwaukee. I'm willing to try anything to cut down the sun/heat. My blood is still too thick for this warmer weather. -

I heard the Pearl Izumi's are a nice product. Thanks for the link! -

Thanks for the great info, guys! -
I know that the running and cycling communities swear by products like this to keep cool and for added UV protection... http://www.voler.com/browse/product/li/1240182 I have very sensitive skin that burns quite easily. Even more so if I've sweated off my sunscreen by the 2nd stage. Anyone use something like this on the range?

Looks like they're also doing it on the USPSA... http://www.stiguns.com/the-sti-uspsa-single-stack/ Edit to add I missunderstood your question about the logo. I have no idea about that, either.

Great shooting! Looked like a good match. I got stuck on I-65 behind an accident on my way to this match. Sorry I had to miss it.

Tripp mags with the Dawson base pads designed to use with the no gap magwell. I can put 11 rounds (10 in mag+1 in chamber) in my first magazine so I don't have to switch mags for a barney.

I shot a plate rack during practice yesterday. With the help of an experienced shooter, I was able to figure out a huge problem on my draw. For example, I can draw on paper and hit it at least somewhere. There's a lot of real estate on that target. I've also been noticing my first shot after a draw is not my most accurate. On the plate rack I had a heck of a time making a hit on my draw. Beep, Bang, Miss...Beep, Bang, Miss...Beep, Bang, Miss. From a low ready I can clean the rack pretty quickly, so I know I can shoot decently and transition from plate to plate. I just couldn't draw and hit it...at all. After a lot of frustration and swearing on my part, and the help of a very patient and supportive fellow shooter, I was able to figure out my issue. On my draw, I was just slapping my big-dumb finger on the trigger. No trigger control. No prepping the trigger or focus on what my finger was doing, at all. Once I figured that out, things improved quite a bit. In a nutshell, I loved and hated that plate rack yesterday.

What is your load for 124 RN plated with N320?
michael b. replied to katit's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
I've loaded 3.8 with 124 Berry's at 1.135. It made around 128 power factor in my Dan Wesson PM9 with a 5" barrel. -
I've shot a couple hundred 125 gr 9mm Blue Bullets, and I just loaded up another 500 this weekend. I'll get a little blue on my hands when loading, but my barrel stays relatively clean. No noticeable blue. I really like shooting these and supporting a company run by USPSA shooters.

I just started using Blue Bullets. Chrono'd last weekend, and shot my first match with them yesterday. Very clean, consistent and accurate.

My Dan Wesson PM9 ran perfect out of the box with Tripp mags. I've made some minor enhancements, but it has been a lot of fun to shoot.

I love my PM9. Incredibly well made gun. Excellent trigger out of the box.

Always the contrarian, I got the RCBS for an amazingly low price. The die is lacking so I switched it our for the Hornady die. The plastic feed tube on the RCBS doesn't fit into the Hornady die. Since the height of the RCBS is adjustable, I took out the plastic feed tube, lowered the collator, and run the feed spring directly into the die. Works great! ETA I also painted it blue to match my 650.

I love N320 with 115g in my 1911. Clean and soft (for me). For USPSA I use about 4.4 grains OAL 1.125. Obviously, your gun is different than mine, so start low and work your way up. Vihtavuori has great load data on their website.

Second on the postal scale. -
I wonder if Dillon would honor the pricing on the 550 of $224.95 as seen in the ad in the primer issue. Factory direct!

Berry's 115gr RN DS 4.1 N320 Speer or Win brass Win SPP 1.125 COL Soft shooting and consistent.

Where are you buying brass these days?
michael b. replied to ChrisMcCracken's topic in 10mm/40 Caliber
I've ordered from brassmanbrass.com and had great results. Once fired, mixed and single headstamp available. Edit to include better link... http://store.brassmanbrass.com/servlet/StoreFront -
Congrats on making it to the cover of Front Sight!

I shoot for around .377 to .375 Ditto. You just want to take the bell out.
