  1. If this page is accurate: https://steelchallenge.com/steel-challenge-world-records.php It means we witnessed a new World Record for Roundabout shot Saturday at the PA State Championship match! Max Michel shot a 7.83, besting the listed 7.96. I just noticed that the page hasn't been updated in five years, oh well! KM
  2. Now it is just the trigger. The hammer and sear haven't arrived yet. The adjustment screws are great, but not worth having an extra pound of trigger pull weight. K Morris
  3. Hello: Just last night I added a Volquartsen trigger to my Ruger 22-45 Lite. I like the over-travel adjustment and the pre-travel adjustment -- but somehow the trigger pull increased by a full pound. Any theories about how that could happen? Possible solutions are welcomed. K Morris
  4. Hello: Anybody here have experience with bushing-mounted compensators? Looking to comp my 9mm STI for steel shooting--and in NY State threaded barrels are a no-go. (No, moving is not an option.) k morris nys
  5. Hello: Have a couple of boxes of XTreme 125 plated flat-point bullets for 38/357. My concern is how much you can crimp plated bullets for use in revolvers. Leaving an indent is not a problem, it's trying to prevent the plating from splitting and causing the projectile from tumbling, etc. K Morris
  6. Hello All: Thanks for all of the suggestions. I ordered two Tripp 10-rounders on Tuesday and they arrived on Friday. And they have performed flawlessly! Didn't know that the 'T' in STI is Tripp.... K Morris
  7. Hello All: Have a new 1911 STI Trojan coming this week and I could use advice on finding quality magazines for it. Any suggestions as to brand and/or place to order from? KM
  8. They're for bullseye use in a 5" S&W 625-1. Had it since 1988. km
  9. Hello All: I have 500 200-grain full wadcutters from MidAtlantic.com and can't find any published loads anywhere. Anybody here use that bullet, or something close, and can recommend a starting load? Kevin M.

Hello: Are you shooting iron sights or dot? Can the aluminum frame be drilled/tapped for a mount? km 13108
  11. Go to Heinie's site and click on the online store. He lists three different-height front sights (.215, .235, and .250) for sale. My G17 needed the .250 front with the standard Heinie rear. My G26 worked well with the standard height front, and my G34 required a .235. Anybody have any idea why? FWIW, only th G26 shot to Point-of-Aim with the stock plastic Glock sights. Kevin M. 12. Hello: Friend bought a Stoeger Coach shotgun. At twenty yards one barrel shoots left and high, the other shoots straight and high. Is this considered acceptable? Is this something that can be fixed by the owner? A gunsmith fix? Return the shotgun for a different one? Kevin M.
  13. Hello All: I'm looking for a soft-recoiling steel load. This is for a stock Glock 34. There's so much contradictory advice out there--light (90g) bullets, heavy (147g) bullets, fast powders, slow powders. It's hard to know what to try first. So, for those of you that have actually shot steel--what load works for you? K Morris Steel-shooting Novice.
