Welcome!
There's several of us here in the Bay Area and many of us shoot at Richmond (www.richmondhotshots.com). Next match is March 3. Hope to see you there.
The Grams followers might help with it, but check your feed lip dimensions. There are some measurements in this thread: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=141880
This is worth knowing. It's not that USPSA officials don't want to say something, it's that they can't without jeopardizing the organization.

The grip stippling on its own would be. The support thumb pad, trigger guard undercut, and apparent trigger guard stippling are what make it non-Production compliant.
You can grind on a regular soldering iron tip to get a different shape or use woodburning bits: http://www.amazon.com/SE-WP28-28-Piece-Wood-burning/dp/B0024JMIPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1360537047&sr=8-1&keywords=wood+burning+bits
Here's to hoping you don't gobble.
Shooting isn't cheap. I decided I get more from matches, both enjoyment- & learning-wise & am reserving my ammo, time, & dinero for those. My goals are different from yours, though, so YMMV.
It's USPSA practice. There's a 10-yard firing line with metric targets, a plate rack or two, & a stage setup that one can run as many times as one likes.
