  1. . That's f'n insane. Balls or loose screws? Preston
  2. HAHA, It's time for me to retire from this site for the day. I am going to end up spending all evening on here and miss out on dinner..
  3. This is a bit late, but I have a Desert Eagle in .50 AE!!! The thing fails to go into battery every few magazines, that is it! None of this 200 rounds stuff is true.. If it is, then they're luckier than me. Anyhow, shooting a hand cannon is a lot of fun (especially when its gold :] ). Preston
  4. +1 That's a cool idea. Also, it's a nice conversation piece. Preston
  5. Im using 10.6g 3n38 pushing a MG 124g JHP. Makes major. So far this has been the only powder I have used. I hear Zero makes some great bullets also. Preston
  6. Does your friend have small hands? I don't see how a smaller trigger wouldn't work. Preston
  7. buuuuuuut, it can be used as a practice alternative for us city fellows. Preston
  8. Where was this guy a few months ago. He could have saved me a few bucks...
  9. I had a similar problem but played around with the OAL and accidentally fixed it. I won't be changing my dies out anytime soon. The experts should be on anytime to explain your problem. Preston
  10. +1 I dislike the fact that they make inaccurate statements, especially when it comes to firearms. I don't like the fact that there could be people who watch the show who don't necessarily know firearm laws, and are being misinformed. I understand they have to make the show interesting (and it is), but at least be truthful. If you make a mistake, correct yourself. The DEA serves a very important job, but there is no reason to be dishonest. Preston
  11. Talk about unique. Was the flames and popple holes your idea? How's the dot lift look through that jpoint? sorry for the thread drift. Preston This is a jpoint related question: How big is the glass in comparison to the c-mores? I assume its not an issue regardless of it's size?
  12. If you can find any relatively cool and dry space, that should suffice. I personally use cabinet that is up high enough and out of reach of smaller people (kids). I don't want it disappearing on me. I have heard of other people keeping it in water tight bins, stored in the garage. Preston
  13. Kyle, I would think the chances are good that the dents are nothing more than a product of those soft bullets banging against each other either during packaging, transport or both. I doubt you have anything to worry about. But the true test is to load some up and test for yourself. Good Luck! +1 I think that has happened to me before too. I didn't test the dented bullets for accuracy but they seemed just as good. +1 x2 I agree that the bullets should function just fine. If there where any difference it would be very minuscule at distances around 25 yards. If you where shooting 100 yards and further, it would be more severely effected. I'd say use them as practice ammo. Preston
  14. If your looking for a chrono, I suggest the CED M2.. It has been good to me so far. Congrats on the loads and stay safe. Preston
  15. A battery for my C-more.. Dunno how it keeps getting left on. Preston
  16. Hybrid schueman (spelling) barrel w/ 3 ports. Compensator has 3 main ports and a side port on both sides at the end. In total between barrel and comp there are 8 holes.
  17. Maybe I'll load up 10.4 3n38 and see the difference in case bulging and PF. If worse comes to worse, I'll just have to suffer and use it as practice ammo . Thanks for the insight, Preston
  18. Good deal. Makes me feel a lot better that I am not the only one dealing with bulging, ect. With minor bulging at the bottom of the cases, how long would this brass last before tossing it and getting more?
  19. Today I took the opportunity to leave work during lunch hours and go shoot around with my SVI IMM. I loaded a few rounds of 9.6g 2n28 MG124. After plinking a little, the recoil seemed a little unreasonable. A few nights ago I sat down and loaded up the same load with 10.6g 3n38. I fired a few of them and the recoil nearly disappeared! For a second I though the loads weren't up to 170PF, but the rounds weight on a scale showing they where correct. I picked up nearly ever case an noticed that they had a miniscule bulge at the bottom. It is about a quarter inch from the rim of the brass casing. The primers seem a tiny tiny bit flatter than they where when previously loaded. Should I be worried or is this normal? Anyhow, the casing is definately bulged a little at the bottom, this is not because of lack of going into battery. What else could cause this besides unussually high pressures. I thought that the primer was supposed to be the first thing to show signs increased pressures. Edit: Caliber is .38 SC 10.6g 3n38 124jhp MG @ 1.235 Any input appreciated. Preston

    +1, especially in west texas!
  21. My mags are numbered because everyone else has numbered mags and I didn't want to be left out. Then... I found out there was a purpose behind it. Preston
  22. Sounds like you are going to have your hands on a sweet pistol. DO post up some pictures. Did you get a completion date? Let us know how it does when you shoot some rounds through it. Preston
  23. Lucky you Kgunz. Hopefully things work themselves out in the future. Preston
  24. I named my SVI "Xcaliber." I figured I would make the first practical shooting pistol that I owned, special. I have yet to buy another comp gun yet.. We'll see. Preston
