  1. It was a great season. Everyone improved so much, and we had so many great matches and stages this year. I wish next season was starting now!!....Guess I have to run around the house killing paper man with no bullets until march :)

  2. Found this on the "other glock site" "I had an opportunity to handle the new 4th generation Glock 22. These are my observations. New reversible mag release. Larger rectangular face does not appear to be extended. New recoil spring arrangement. It looks like a dual captured spring setup. It will not retrofit older G22s. Frame with texturing similar to current RTF frames, but not as sharp. Frame is higher in the area that contacts the web of your hand. The distance between the trigger and the rear of the frame is noticeably shorter. Same profile as current Glock frames but slightly smaller in the rear. There are two (medium and large) backstraps that go over the rear area of the frame. These are held in by the trigger housing pin. Standard slide serrations. No pics allowed. Not official yet."
  3. Are they making any other changes to to frame than the backstraps? would be nice to see a different, more flared mag well and a better shaped trigger guard. I too think it helps that M&P and the XD are giving them some competition, However I read that LA county Sheriff's recently banned the M&P's due to some barrel problems.
  4. I weighed some of my stuf awhile back for my G34 17rd mag + bump pad 2.87 17 round mag 2.68 Standard length tungsten rod from glockwerx 1.11 Steel Rod from Wolff was .084 ISMI 13 lb spring with 2 coils clipped off .30 12 lb wolffe spring was a .16 G34 with mag, bump pad, steel rod, 12 lb spring, Warren tacticals with FO front and grip tape and a houge slip on was 27.67 oz. From what I've read it has to be 27.75 or under to make weight for a G34.
  5. Ben- Have you considered or tried the captains of crush and IMTUG grippers? Sounds like something that could enhance your new grip even more. Ron Avery did an article about them in front sight, probably 4-5 issues ago. I really like them and added them to my workout after I read that article.
  6. Some people call it "roll over prone" where you roll up on your strong arm shoulder and then get your cheek into your strong arm bicep. This helps me stay behind the gun and the sights where I need to be. I prefer to use the support hand to be the contact with the ground, it seems to keep the gun more stable for me. I'll have to try it Dave's way too.
  7. It seems to be nice for people that don't want to bulk up the grip and keep it skinny. I like the rubber grip tape with a hogue sleeve over the top of that.
  8. Your dryfire range dojo looks sweet. Nice paint job on the holster too
  9. Red Dawn ruled, Nobody puts baby in the corner! Tough way to go.
  10. Production 7.99 with 50 pts comes back as a little over 74% If you just relax and shoot this clean with no extra shots your good to go here.
  11. Production G34, 7.88, 3.94 on both runs for a 76%
  12. Good Luck, Stay Smooth, Stay focused, Have Fun
  13. I had that problem last winter too. I ended up throwing away those blue CKRT training mags because they were too heavy and the balance was all wrong. Empty mags didn't work either, so I ended up loading all my practice mags up with 147's with no powder and primer and used the exact same base pads as my match ones. Once I did that things started to come together.
  14. I'll have to look for an old post on glock talk. I tested all of them that I had except for a Vanek which I don't have. Basically I rank the ghost rocket 3.5 with the overtravel stop first becaue of the crisp trigger and the great reset. Next would be the new glockwork 3lb race connector that has the lightest pull but not the best reset. After that it was lone wolf, and the basic older style glockwork 3.5 connectors and then the stock connectors with a polish job. One of the better connectors with the 3 spring kit and titanium plunger from glockworx and the factory striker has given me my favorite trigger outside of a vanek, which I haven't tried yet. Got the 34 new last August and I have shot about 20 matches, and 10-12 practice sessions with it with only one failue to fire during a match. The round that would not fire was a really old 147 gr winchester LE round from 2002. Got the ammo free and was trying to burn it up in local matches. Overall have been really happy with this setup. here is the old tests from last year that I did on different connectors Different 3.5 lb connectors -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just did some testing on three different connectors and I thought I would share the results. To start off with, its a new G34 with a .25c trigger job, has around 7-800 rounds through it with the wolf reduced power firing pin spring, plunger spring and trigger spring. It also has the titanium polished plunger from glockwerx. The stock 3.5lb connector was polished and the trigger broke around 4 lbs. I took out the stock connector and put in a Glockwerx's 3.5 lb connector and the trigger broke at about 2.75 I took out the Glockwerx's connector and installed a Ghost rocket with the overtravel tab. The package with the Ghost rocket installed came away with 2.8 lb pull. With the Ghost Rocket though, the reset was about 1/4 of what the reset was with the other 2. Can't wait to try it, double taps are going to be even better. It's a smooth pull then just as you start to feel some resistance it breaks nice. FYI
  15. Pick up a 27 for CC or off duty carry, OD is the way to go!!!!! You already have a sweet 34, you don't need a 17 or a 26 or a .357 sig
  16. To make your cleaning a lot easier, keep a couple FMJ's in your bag and shoot them last in practice or at a local match and it will blow a lot of the crud out of your barrel before you clean it. I used to shoot a .45 clark custom that would foul lead like crazy. I would shoot 3-5 FMJ's at the end of the match and it would clean about 85% of the bad fouling out of the barrel. What ever is left use a bronze brush with some Sweets 7.62 and you'll be good to go for awhile. Sincerely Glock shooter.
  17. Congratulations on a healthy baby boy!!!!!!!!!! Your a lucky dad!
  18. Congrats on the new job PB! Hope it goes well for you!
  19. Prod 3.89 30 pts, missed the second popper and had to come back and pick it up. No room for error to do that on this one!
  20. What was the name of that off duty holster you use? I want to get something more comfortable. Hope all is well

  21. I just got two of the ZevTech race connectors today. I first tested the trigger pull weight on my G22 that has a 3 year old glockwerx 3.5lb connector in it and it tested at 4-4.5lb. I put in the ZevTech connector and tested it again and it went down to 3-3.4 lbs pull. This gun is stock besides the connector. I next tested my G34 that has the ghost rocket and the glockwerks 3 spring kit and a titanium drop safety. It tested at 2.9-3.25 lbs. I put in the ZevTech connector and it broke pretty clean at 2.5 lbs consistently. The reset was not as good as the ghost rocket due to the ZevTech having no overtravel stop, but I thought the ZevTech was fairly crisp as advertised and it does seem to be a by god "3lb connector" Both were highly polished when they came and seemed to be very good quality.
  22. Anybody try one of the new Zev Tech race connectors yet? I have two coming. Glockwerx says that with their spring kit and this connector is supposed to give you a pull around 2.5 to 3 lbs thats not supposed to be mushy.
  23. Production G34 6.86 with 54 points 1C, 1D. Classifier Calc says 76% in change, don't know how that is possible. The turn was good, shooting was to slow to start and then to fast after the reload. I went left to right both times. If you put the time and work in, this should be a good meat and potatos classifier to do, but train wrecks still happen...........
  24. +1 to GSSF Matches And you can win more Glocks!!!!!!!!
  25. Keep that front sight in focus when you shoot too. Don't immediately look to the target to try and confirm where you hit. Stay with the front sight and get a good sight picture and a nice even pull on the trigger.
