  1. $475.70 for a blue label from Keepers in MN.
  2. I just received an email back from my district Glock rep. He said that he has one of the Gen 4 G35's. He has shot it and says he likes it. He said the Gen 4 G34 will be out "sometime after the first of the year." FYI Lawdawg
  3. Try your current setup with an extra power trigger return spring from the glockwerx 3 spring kit and that should take up some of the pre travel.
  4. I use the houge grip on my 34. I have grip tape underneath on just one side to help hold the houge in place. I used to have it on both sides of the grip, but it makes it wide enough to the point were the production box with the minimum dimensions was not quite closing all the way shut with the gun inside. It doesn't take much to make the grip too wide, or illegal in production.
  5. For the price, I think that GTUL is a rip off. It's just taking advantage of people who don't know the right way to take the mags apart. 5/32 punch is all you need. Force the follower out of the way by pushing all the way in and then press the sides of the mag tube while you use the punch to pry the plate off in the opposite direction it went on. Then just use one of those dawson brushes that only costs 12 bucks instead of 25.
  6. Survived nats, did decent for my first time, starting to prepare for the off season training

  7. USPSA is awesome. Getting ready for my first Nats. Gonna roll around vegas in style in a chevy Cobalt!

  8. One of my shooting partners had a couple and he had the base plate blow off in the middle of a stage causing all the rounds to come out. He didn't even have 50 rounds through the magazine when it happened.
  9. Finally hit a good classifier! Got to love fall shooting!

  10. Good evening, Glocks rule...

  11. Just read Saul Kirsch's book Thinking Practical Shooting, a great read!

Been thinking about getting that - just a matter of the old gettin round to it - you know how that is. Wish they had it for my Kindle - make things easier.

  12. Ben- Question- On Stage 2 of the MN section match (it was the one with all the hardcover targets about 5 yards away with lots of little walls to divide them up and you had to shoot on the move going down the shooting area.) I noticed that you and a lot of the open shooters immediately ran all the way to the left past the middle targets and then started shooting the targets from left to right. In hindsight this was the faster way to shoot it, but It seems like wasted movement on a stage like that. Just wondering what made you decide to shoot it that way? Thanks Congrats on the good weekend! Rob
  13. I've seen them break in half in .40 glocks before and the half that is not under spring tension from the slide stop spring falls out but the gun will continue to work fine. I haven't seen one break in a 9 yet but I'm sure it's possible and maybe they bend before they break. Just try a new pin for awhile and keep an eye on it. Did you buy the gun new or was it used?
  14. The MN monsoon section is complete, crazy weather but a good time.

  15. Yeah, it was starting to get pretty dirty towards the end so I wiped it off and put a real light coat of snake oil on it. I have had good luck with that product. Rob
  16. Are you still alive?

  17. MN Section coming soon.

  18. Don't be afraid of the ghost rocket. I shot on your squad at Area 3 and I run the 3.5 with overtravel stop all the time with no problems in my G34. Glad to hear you got it figured out. Rob
  19. A flat sided Arkansas stone is a must for doing the cruciform and the striker lug. It smooths out the metal and doesn't take too much off to quickly.
  20. Everybody is a little different. The .215 shoots to point of aim for me using 124 and 147 gr American Eagle. I use the top of the sight on my G34. However I tried this setup on a G17 and it shot about 5 inches low for me at 11 yards on plates at a GSSF match. I don't know if the sight radius made that big of a difference between the guns but I had to get a shorter sight for my G17. Hope it helps
  21. The prefix on mine was "FDS" purchased in 2003 I believe. My department has about 20 that are the same vintage, mine has been the only one to pitch a rail, but it has been shot more than the rest of them too. It's just one of those things that can happen, but doesn't very often.
  22. My G22 for work did the same thing to me during a qualification, the left rear frame rail broke off. The piece stayed inside the gun and it would continue to shoot, but I had to rack the slide after every shot. This pistol had about 6K through it at the time, but we all know the .40 S&W is a lot harder on the pistols than 9mm is. I sent it in and they replaced it and a lot of the internal springs for free. It does have a new serial number now and still shoots great. The new serial number starts with the letter "G" followed by 5 numbers. One bit of advice though, is I would take anything that is not stock off the gun before you send it off, or you probably wont get it back. Lawdawg
