  1. GHOST ROCKET 3.5 with overtravel stop = the ticket
  2. Okay, mine is a Gen 3. I posted this question after I read the front sight article because it made it sound like the item in question was houge slip on grip sleeves instead of the panels with the finger grooves attached to them. Thank You for the clarification.
  3. I know this is a little off topic, but just want to be clear. The factory wrap around panels with finger grooves are not legal, but Houge slip on grip sleeves are legal? I shoot a G34 with a slip on houge that has the finger grooves. Thanks
  4. My G34 that was new in July of 08 just had the mag catch spring break. It's the straight piece of wire that installs inside the handgrip. During dryfire the past couple months, I would notice that I would have a mag fly out of the gun while drawing once in awhile. Just recently I noticed that the mag release didn't have very much tension and was easier to hit and release the mag by accident. Put in a new $1.00 spring and she runs like new. Now I gotta get some spares.. Gotta love Glocks
  5. I agree with you eerw, why can I not simply point to rule 21.7 that says that aftermarket base pads are allowed? The gun makes weight and fits in the box with plenty of room so I don't see any issue after the July clarification.
  6. The gun with the mag with the basepad glued on the bottom fits in the box with plenty of room to spare. The box I used was the one that belonged to Area 3 and was setup with spacers in it so it was at the minimum dimensions. I couldn't find anything that said you can't use them, but you can never be to sure. Thanks Rob
  7. Can you use jentra bump pads on your magazines when your shooting a G34 in USPSA production?
  8. I run an ISMI flat wire spring in my G34 with two coils clipped and it runs great with factory 147, 124 and 115's in WWB and American Eagle. I tried a Wolff 12 and it worked well, but it seems longer and is harder to install. GockWerk is coming out with their recoil springs sometime soon and there supposed to be color coded by weight and a smaller diameter so they don't bind as much on the rod as the Wolff ones do. Rob
  9. Some of the lighter spots will come off if you soak them in break free and then scrub hard with one of those military plastic bristle toothbrushes.
  10. I have 4 that I would sell you in a heartbeat. Those CKRT mags are terrible. They simulate fully loaded mags, they are way too heavy and the balance of them is all wrong. I practiced with them for about a month last year thinking they would be the cats meow and they screwed me up so bad at a match I got rid of them and started putting dummy rounds in regular mags.
  11. Thanks for the encouragement Ben, Like you said, It's great to combine a bunch of dry fire drills because I think it helps simulate as much stress and thinking that you can in a dry fire session using tuxedos with movement and reloads and multiple targets, if you have the space and time. I have a little of both and I try to work on my weaknesses. It made me mad when I couldn't get 4 A's when I was backing away from those two tuxedo targets on stage 6 of the last Holmen match. If you can nail down some of those things in dry fire during the off season I think it will take me places I have not been to yet. I also think tuxedos are a great Production practice target. Always focus on getting your points with well aimed shots, nail your reloads and hit the next one, Especially in dry fire where one can get way ahead of themselves with rushing sight pictures. This target makes you always stare down your front sight in the A- zone where it needs to be. My favorite drill right now is drawing to two tuxedos from different start positions and then hitting your reload on the move to the next position where you engage two more tuxedos. I have 5 practice mags to run through so I go back and forth from box to box laterally until I'm out of mags, sometimes using the timer sometimes not. Looking forward to seeing your dry fire practice drill, it will make the off season go faster. Rob
  12. just had a left rear frame rail brake off my G22, sent it in with a nice letter and they sent it back in about a month with a new frame, trigger group, recoil spring and guide. I don't know of any other gun company that does as much for it's customers as glock and g.s.s.f. does.
  13. Shooting on the move using a tuxedo target while doing reloads on the move.......
  14. Have been working for quite awhile with the Trainer, #1 and the IMTUG #3 and #4. Figured I should try a 1.5 and a #2 on for size. I was able to close the #2 with my right and left hands yesterday. Feels pretty good to reach a goal early in the off season. I would recommend these to anyone.
  15. Try #2 10-25-09 at Holmen, WI Production 15.59 with 96 pts = about 83 Training is paying off.
  16. +1 on the captains of crush grippers. I think it has helped out my overall grip and has helped my weak hand only shooting quite a bit. These are no comparison to the gripper you buy in the sporting goods department in wal mart. The IMTUGS are also really nice because they isolate your two fingers and get the thumb involved as well to improve your pinching grip
  17. How is the mag release different? Wider? Bigger?
  18. Merrell is another brand that is very comfortable, provides great traction and they have a ton of different styles to choose from. More flexability and comfort than cleats.

    G34?

I've been debating about getting into airsoft for some time. I would like to get one that is identical to the G34 I shoot with a red FO front but I can't find anybody that sells a glock airsoft that is a G34 copy. Is there a company that makes one? Can you put different sights on them?
  20. Just saw a Glock ad in a LE magazine that was advertising the RTF2 grip frame. I think that must be what their calling the new one. The finger grooves were there, but they looked smaller than the Gen 3's. The RTF stipling looked like a slightly different design and less sharp. It didn't show the back of the frame where the new inserts are supposed to be
  21. I love the finger grooves with a houge slip on over the top to get a little more of a sticky feel to the grip From what it sounds like, the new frame might be a combination of the short frame idea and the RTF idea with different sized backstraps added to the mix.
  22. Arguably the best upgrade you can make to your G34. I love my warren tactical rear with a red FO front. I really like how the rear sight is rounded off at the top right and left edge, it seems to help me get a better sight picture because I can see more of the target around the rear sight.
  23. Thanks for the great season!
