  1. The Lee FCD is a solution looking for a problem, resizing a loaded round twice is not a solution, but a accuracy killer
  2. Any scratching inside the neck will effect accuracy, I highly recommend against using any case trimmer with a pilot such as this one, what will happen is brass will get caught/hung up/ imbedded on the pilot and scratch the inside of the neck, get a Giruad for fast easy trimming that chamfers in and out, or run a Dillon 1200/1500 for bulk reloading
  3. Try the bag trick with one shot, I put 300 or so cases in a large zip lock, give the bag a 10 second squirt of one shot, seal it and roll the cases around and flip the bag for even coverage, this works great with 9mm 40sw 223 cases, never a issue
  4. Dillon 1050 or if your like me, Dillon 650 and a Dillon Super Swede 600, get the 1050
  5. I have shot two peoples SVI double stacks, shot many a match with these guys, never once has either had a hiccup, no tuning, no nothing but boring reliability
  6. With precision rifle rounds I wipe each case off as I go, with the stuff I load on my 650 I dump the loaded rounds in a ammo can
  7. I have a V3, for rifles it's fantastic, surpressed, muzzle braked, or just plain crown it hasn't missed a shot or given any silly readings, on my rifle I have a POI shift of .2mils up, and my group opens up, but at 1000 my Applied Ballistic Kestrel was spot on.
  8. Less time reloading means more time shooting, get the 650
  9. IMHO you should the money on reloading equipment first, then treat yourself to a 1911
  10. The bag trick is IMHO the best easiest least amount of lube used method out there, a 5 second squirt of One Shot is enough to lube 500 9mm cases, my shoulder also has less wear n tear on it from lubeing
  11. You could mount a 650 to something and c clamp it to the desk but that will old quick, there are things I liked about the LNL, but I mostly like that it's gone, 650 set up quick, and has been flawless and almost twice as fast as my LNL, my first 100 rounds took me 30 minutes, next 400 took 30 minutes, now I regulary load 9mm in the 800-900 rounds a hour range
  12. Low rings usually work with 40mm bells, medium with 50mm bells, and medium-high with 56mm bells, barrel diameter, scope base height will be the varying factor
  13. Come out and shoot TEXAS Club matches with us, we all use MRAD optics, it's the tool of choice for this type of shooting, MOA scopes are the perfect tool for static fixed positioned shooting like F-Class Benchrest, the key to either system is NOT to convert angular measurements to inches feet centimeters lightyears, and yes get a FFP scope with a reticle with matching knobs.
  14. Both my 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor have Tubb T2K brakes, I like them because they are tunable, during load development I screw it all the way on, then lock it in place with the jam nut orientated with the top canted slightly left, after I find the load that groups the smallest with single digit spreads I screw it out one turn at a time until it bug holes sub 1/2 MOA, I don't shoot matches suppressed because I perfer the greater recoil reduction of the brake, and a can on the end of the barrel is a sail when the wind is blowing hard like at Rifles Only, a side discharge brake is required when shooting prone, and is not as loud for the shooter as a radial brake like a Vias.
  15. Clean Carbon first then Copper, my 308 bolt gun just got cleaned after1500ish rounds, my 6.5 Creedmoor opens up around 300 rounds, in either case I use BoreTech Eliminator, be warned that brass jags will give dark blue false copper positives.
  16. You can't shoot the difference in trim length in a AR, full on competition Benchrest you can, load them up and rock on
  17. The gem pro 250 would a good scale if it was a good scale, it's a cheap crappy scale with a good warranty, which you will need
  18. That was my Gen 1 at one time, I sold it back to Josh when I got my Gen2 Prometheus, think of the Gen2 as a ChargeMaster, but it's 3-4 times faster and 10 times more accurate
  19. Berry 180 3.0 Clays .421 crimp 1.130 730fps Soft n accurate out of my G35 with 15lb recoil spring
  20. 1click is 1/4 MOA, not 1/4 inch, stop Stop STOP converting angular measurements to inches
  21. I dump my brass in a large heavy duty zip lock bag, 200-250 pistol cases, spray OneShot in the bag for 5 seconds, seal the bag and roll the brass around for a minute, then it dry, with 556 brass I do exactly the same except i roll the brass against my bench to ensure complete coverage, ie no stuck cases, it's a fine line between too much OneShot and not enough, too much the finished rounds are sticky and require a quick tumble, too little on pistol no biggie, too little on rifle and stuck cases
  22. stop, Stop, STOP!!!!!!! Trying to covert angular measurements to inches, 1 MOA is 1 MOA at 2 feet to 133 light years, it makes no difference what so ever on how many inches it is at whatever distance, a MOA is a MOA, math just makes it confusing. We Americans want to convert MOA to inches, it's what we know, the rest of the world does the samething with MRAD's, at 100 meters .1mrad is 1cm, but MRADs are not metric, and MOAs are not inches
  23. I just sorted a 5 gallon bucket of range brass with mine, highly recommend getting them.
