Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. LeviSS - welcome to my world. I'm 3-4E also. It's a nightmare trying to find something quality and aggressive. Most approaches have been mentioned above and I won't repeat. The only one I'll add would be Sketchers. Not a wonderful solution but better than the shoes with no support at all, and budget friendly. Also - spend some time on Zappos - they make searching and viewing easy, and are really set up for returns/exchanges. They sell cleats also (saw that mentioned above). [Side note: if you play golf - Footjoy is the answer. Absolutely, without question, the best shoe, of any kind, I've ever put on my feet in 63 years.] JimInFL
  2. Just coming back after being gone for a while and ran across this thread. Curious - have Pro Ears fallen out of favor ? Have use them for years in Open and liked them a lot. Seemed to be the 'go to' here in Fl for a long time. JimInFl edit - oops, off-topic - sorry.
  3. Like I said - don't know where you're at (sounds like more toward west side maybe), but if you can find the time to sneak over to the east, try here also. http://titusvillegun.org/code/Home.aspx
  4. Might try this range. We shoot two matches a month there and Wednesday's are 'open' (with a fee of course). Don't know where you're located exactly. http://www.volusiacountygunandhuntclub.com/public-safety-appreciation.html Jim
  5. Mine was around 12 days total both times, including the time spent in transit, as i remember. (e.g. that's how long I was without it)
  6. Jay - see my post in this thread.. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191646&hl= JimInFL
  7. Anyone getting a response from MBX on email ? No luck here after several days. jiminfl edit: after looking closer at the home page, it does say 'late January' for purchasing. I might be a little premature looking for ordering info.

    RTS 2

3 matches since the board upgrade and working. Keeping my fingers crossed like everyone else that has one working right now. Question - anyone have a feel for battery life yet ? I've been leaving mine on for the duration of the match (3 as I said above) to see what happens. Anyone have any further info ? JimInFL
  9. czbeardly - i might be missing something here. I mentioned above, the ejector - not the extractor. if the pin hole isn't sized/aligned or allows the ejector to move up, it will catch the slide and stop it short of battery. And then when you pull the slide back, it can get pushed back down enough to get out of the way momentarily (which complicates it because you can't see it happening now). Look at the back of the gun assembled - can you see clearance between the top of the ejector and the slide ?
  10. What aircooled said (did you mean ejector ?)about ejector - check that it isn't moving up. Had that same thing happen to me with one that wasn't installed exactly right. Doesn't take much and will catch slide. JimInFL
  11. Hope I'm in the right forum. Posting for a friend who recently received this, passed down from his father. He'd sent the photo to me, wanting to know if I had any info on it. Not a revolver guy myself - was hoping someone might shed some info on model, type, history, value, anything really. Thanks. JimInFL
  12. Just saw on classifieds a guy has 5 lbs of Solo 1000 - very reasonable. JimInFL
  13. Resurrecting this older topic. Hoping for more opinions and experiences now that we've had more opportunity to play. Well I've been experimenting with the 124 BBIs in my open gun using WAC, A#7, HS-6. Some general observations, as compared to MG/Zero 124/125... Given the same charge weights, these bullets produce much faster velocities. For example A#7 @ 9 gr (BBI), is faster than 9.8 gr with MG. I clean my gun every match, but I really don't think I'm seeing any lead build up anywhere in the gun that's drastically, or even noticeably to me, different. They smoke. Bottom line - The jury is still out. I REALLY WANT to love these things - they open a lot of options for loading. I just don't know if I can get past the smoke. If you post and say "I don't get much smoke", then I stand in envy. JimInFL
  14. Just a related side note.. I spoke with C-More on the phone and they said 'end of May' they will be shipping the new design. JimInFL
