  1. I will bet i will get a sh*tload over me when i post this I own a ctr 02 with 18 and 20 inch upper and also owned a JP 15 in 18 inch ,i had a heatsink on them but took it off because i think the only use is not to keep the barrel cool but for the coolfactor looks off the rifle. When i keep reading rifle threads on this forum i always see how ''great'' the precision is with the JP barrels. Well i think accuracy is nice on them but not overwhelming , my best groups with an AR15 i still shot with my 20'' Colt Heavy barrel sporter ,and everey other AR i used out off the box shot the same or almost the same goups as my JP rifles. The only thing the JP's are much much better at is shooting at high speed and still keep the accuracy respactable at high speed ,butt thats because off the Low mass system and the triggergoup and not on the credits off the barrel. I even think JP could make better rifles iff the would / could make the barrels even better ,the other parts off the JP rifles are great as they are.
  2. I have both units (also sell them in the netherlands) i like the old version better but thats just my opinion ,the fitting off the old version is not so hard to do and the price was much better with the same endresult.
  3. very very nice Do you need a dealer in the Netherlands
  4. @Hannu I still think the Zeiss varipoint is better quality glass and much more forgiving in head position compared to the Swarovski. I also think the dot is better then the more ''orange'' from the Swarovski. but the LD1 reticle should have been in the Zeiss
  5. pri also has a very small adjustable gasblock its very nice and solid iff this one does not fit none will fit
  6. Hi Michael

The proces off getting the rifles here is more difficult then i thought.

I did make an initial order off 5 JP15 and 5 CTR02 rifles but the way it looks now it will take atleast 9 months to get htem here,sorry......

  7. Thanks for all the response ,but the names given here are all dealers and not the man that makes and sells them. I would like to know how i can get in touch with him. I do not think the dealers are very much waiting for more webshops to sell them ,all though i live in europe
  8. Can anybody help me out on this ? I have a gunstore and want to buy the Bolen springs & Followers (to sell in my shop) but cannot find a adres or website from the manufactur
  9. You could try using lighter bullets for the handgun and heavier for the rifle. For instance 115 for the handgun and 124 for the rifle but with the same load off powder.
  10. Just my opinion The only scope mount i ever had that did not shift zero after remounting is the JP 30mm mount . And i have had JP / Burris / Larue LT104 (yes i did shift a litle) / MAK mount (which is a very expensive mount made in germany) I think the JP is the best in quality vs money for a scope mount and for IPSC and 3gun you do not need a quick lever mount ,only for the coooooooool factor (which offcourse is also very important )
  11. I am crosseyed dominant and with the rifle and zeiss scope on the 1,1 can shoot it like a aimpoint (it has the same reticle ) when i switch to more then 2x magnification i have to close my left eye off. I tend to have more problems with my shotgun ,there i use a fiber frontsight but it takes rather long for me to pick it up with my eyes and i always have to close my dominant eye. Same for handgun iron sights but for open i shoot with both eyes open and use the dominant eye i am righthanded and left eye dominant and i really hate this because i really see it as a handicap in the shooting sports
  12. Gen 2 also has a quick detach knob and a pin that will hold on the piccatiny rail ,the Gen1 could slide free over the rail. Also the Gen 2 wings are thicker.
  13. Jeff from C-Rums does nice work on M1 / M2 lifters so an M4 shouldn't be a problem C-Rums
  14. Thanks for the info Trapr ,i still have the A1 i bought from you in Norway last year in my spare box. I will give this a try and see how it works out. Would it also help iff i mill an extra slot in the receiver so the rear sight can be a bit closer to my eye ?
  15. I did shoot my first match with iron sights and liked it. I use a 0.050 front sight at the end off my 20'' JP but in our country we never shoot longer distances then 110 yards Its mostly indoor ranges and not so good light ,because its indoors and steel is not so welcome with 223 indoors we use sometimes clays as targets and the rest are ipsc targets. About 70% off the stages are within 30 yards. Now the question : Is my front sight to thin for those matches and would i pickup a thicker frontsight faster ?? (also because off the light)
  16. I have and use 2 Zeiss scopes on different uppers but mine are 1,1-4 with reticle 0 ,i have not seen a scope with better glass yet. A friend of mine uses the 1,5-6x varipoint with reticle 60 but i like 0 more
  17. Based on the specs posted it should be better than the 1-4 Short dot, as the short dot is built on a 20mm obj. 1x field of view seems to be made out to bieng so important. I can not understand why. There are so many other things that are arguably much more meaningful. At 1x your field of view is with both eyes is it not? At higher power field of view is very important, however the research I have done shows that it is insignifacantly differant between all 1-4 scopes I have experimented with (which is most of them). On the average the FOV at 100yds at 4x is 23-25 ft with all of them. At 6x the swarovski was 20ft. I am sure the 8x will be less than that (someone posted 16ft which would be a good guess) but at 4x I bet the S&B will be about the same as the 1-4's are or insignifacantly better. I found the 6x of the swarovski of so limited use I went back to a 1-4 that I feel had better things going for it than a high top end. If you are canted over sideways or shooting from prone (beneath something) or in a bind so that your body is not directly behind the gun it often puts your head in a position where you do not have both eyes available to have the good binocular field of view that a squared away position gives you. While field of view can be less than optimal with a scope it can bite you when some sadistic course designer wraps you in a knot in your shooting position and one eye is looking at Venus while the other attempts to locate your intended target.... I hear ya Merlin. However the field of view is not the culprit in those cases, its the exit pupil/eye relief. Sometimes the field of view is bigger when the exit pupil /eye relief is optimum but not always. As a general rule the larger the exit pupil the more forgiving of side to side or up and down head position you get. This is directly proportional to the Objective diameter of the scope. The bigger the OD the larger the exit pupil at any given power. The eye relief directly effects the front to back forgiveness of your view thru the scope. Ideally the most forgiving of scopes (in the 1-? range) would have a long eye relief (3.5"+) and a large exit pupil (24mm OD or bigger). And thats why alot off european shooters use the Zeiss varipoint in 1,1-4 x it is extremly forgiving in eye position and does have a big fov at 4 x its 31 ft and at 1x its 108 ft. I really do not understand why i never see or hear about a US rifle shooter that uses this scope (except for that its pretty expensive )
  18. I will be goiing ,but don't know iff this will be in st manual or standard semi auto
  19. Thats a very good looking rifle Hannu
  20. Forget the bull barrel AR15 and do not think about the OA10 . The 308 will not bring you any advantage over a 223 in IPSC rifle Iff you buy a OA15 try to find one with a .750 barrel ,but there are also plenty Sabre Defence rifles for sale in europe. The OA15 with bull barrel is just way too heavy. Iff everything comes in to place you can buy JP rifles somewhere around januari in the Netherlands from stock. Also Bushmaster rifles (V-Mach 16 and 20 inch ) Where ? In my new gun store Just one question , i know that IPSC France is not so crazy about anything longer than a handgun and they do not give permission for ipsc shooters to shoot matches in other countries with rifles . How are you goiing to shoot matches ?
  21. Can somebody help me out on this ? I have a 20 inch JP CTR02 with iron sights . I have the front sight at the front off the barrel and this is the JP A2 front sight This one I would like to know how much the adjustment is on 100 yards iff i turn the front sight 1 click (which is a quarter off a turn) I cannot find this anywhere
  22. I bought mine in a local fishing shop for aprox 5 dollar for a pair (they come in 2 ) But it hink you should be able to rder them here coaster I cannot find the model that i use but i also have what they call the ''new'' model and i do not like that one. I have some spares iff you cannot find them but shipping it to the States is probably more costfull then the value off these coasters
  23. I use a coaster on the scopes for my airguns Cheaper than this you won't find anything
  24. Not ! These belts are only usefull for shotgun only matches ,where you are allowed to change the gear that hold shells on every stage. I do not think they are very usefull for multi gun matches. So what does the arm rig look like ? How many sheels can he fit on his arm ?? Very intresting loading tecnique ... Iff you take the Arm carrier from 3gungear (Mark Buchannan) then you have a setup where you can put 8 + another 8 on it ,so he puts 16 on his arm. I think Raine also uses the bandoleer for the larger stages and a side sadlle.
