  1. This my Daughter and one of her friends that she writes and performs music with . Her Friend Kristen can freaking SING !! Her Friend Kristen My Daughter Hailey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdDZZHrSJb8
  2. I tend to be very "Please" and "Thank You" oriented myself having been raised by a women who expected me to have good manners . It bothers me greatly when I see stuff like you mentioned . I also hate the fact that because I am polite people try and run rough shod over me mistaking "Politeness" for "Weakness" . Our society seems to think that being a ass is cool .
  3. I feel your pain , my wife works in sales and its Salary+Commission . Her commission is taxed at the same rate bonuses are . We have struggled to find the balance as far as how many deductions she should claim since some months are great and others so-so .
  4. I started both of my girls off on the 10-22 with a Red Dot sight . I bought a regular 200 dollar rifle and a 15 dollar youth stock off ebay and they went to town . Last Christmas I gave the younger daughter a new one that I customized for her . Machined a match chamber and re-profiled barrel removing iron sights Reshaped factory stock and painted Mueller 4.5-14 scope Trigger Job And it shoots .
  5. Thanks guys . Silly me I was looking under the actual shotgun model and not under general springs .
  6. Wolff doesn't even list a spring for the Remington 1100 and the 870 spring is only for a 2 or 3 round extension . I may have to call them tomorrow to see whats what . Thanks for the help guys .
  7. Thats what I was thinking when I pulled it out as well . Where can a guy track down the correct spring ? I tried searching Brownells but wasn't having much luck .
  8. Ok , here is a picture of the spring .
  9. Yes it has an EZLoader not a speedfeed gate . It was installed when I purchased the gun so I am not sure how long its been installed . 2 of us used it and had the same problem so I am guessing it wasn't limp shouldering . How can I tell if the magazine spring is worn out or otherwise FUBAR'd ?
  10. I was taking a class this weekend and my Remington 1100 TAC4 kept locking the bolt back with rounds sitting on the carrier still . It has a speedfeed gate installed which I am not sure is a part of the problem or not . Has anyone else experienced this problem and are there some simple things I can check first ? I oiled the heck out of it and checked the O-Ring which appeared to be fine .
  11. This one makes me fear for everyones safety ....
  12. I installed one on my rifle due to the fact that my Gen 1 Redi-Mag covered the bolt release enough that I couldn't get in and release it . Later models of the redi-mag have a bolt release built in so its not an issue . I personally think it makes the Manual Of Arms a lot easier and a 1 handed affair .
  13. I purchased one of the very first BAD levers and have never looked back . I run a Gen 1 Redi-Mag and my bolt release is impossible to reach so this was an excellent addition to my rifle . Running through the Manual Of Arms is much easier IMO using the BAD lever as well as being much faster . I believe anyone calling someone a copycat needs to take a hard look at what was here long before Magpul or anyone else announced a lever like this . Its kind of hard to see in this picture but the original Redi-Mags make it kind of tough to get your thumb on the bolt release and slapping it with the palm of your hand is flat out impossible .
  14. If you want to know what 3-gun is like without actually shooting a match just go out in your backyard and burn 3-400 dollars . It simulates actual 3-gun while saving you several thousand dollars
  15. I shot Winchester Small Rifle primers in my Para P16 for years without any ill effects . I am using Magtech SR primers in my G17 now and still have no problems . It makes it nice not having to keep 2 different primers on hand for my pistols and my AR's . My opinion would be to buy whatever is available and drive on . As long as you don't have a super light trigger they will work fine .
  16. I used to be a fair hand with a Shotgun but having been away from most of competitive shooting for the last 5 years I may be outdated in my reloading technique . Everything used to be loaded strong hand either off the gun , your forearm or some sort of chest/waist rig . Fast forward to today and it would seem most of the guys are using some sort of weak hand reload technique using California Comp Works style pouches . Are people still using side saddles and forearm shell holders much in competition ? If so are they just for really long stages when you can't carry enough in the pouches ? Or are just the top guys using the weak hand technique ?
  17. I am not sure if Eric Wesselman still sells them but back when I shot 3-gun he is who I got mine from .... http://www.ericwesselman.com/store/store.html
  18. It had a strap that went around the handgaurd . Or at least in my memory it did .... LOL As a matter of fact it looked just like the one you posted for the FN , Etc. except it was for a Rem 1100 .
  19. 3-Gun Gear used to make a long sidesaddle with a strap that I thought held 8 or 9 rounds but now I cannot find them anymore . Anyone remember these ? I believe my Rem 1100 Competition Master came with one from the factory . Anyway , If anyone remembers these and knows where I can get one please let me know .
  20. I have only shot a handful of USPSA matches in the last 5 years as a little thing called LIFE got in the way . I have however shot many of these so called '"Outlaw" matches and even hosted a few . The two things I came away from all of these matches with was the fact that no matter what the rules are someone is gonna push the envelope as far as they can to try and gain some percieved advantage . The other thing I learned is that most everyone else is gonna stand around bitching and moaning about how unfair it all was . As a Match Director your job is to attempt to make everyone compete using a set of rules that everyone is following . As a competitor its your job to take advantage of every advantage you can to win within that set of rules . Some people are gonna have better financial backing and others are gonna have God Given or (Gasp! say it isn't so) Hard earned talent . Some people will win and some people will lose , those are the simple facts , if you don't like them make up your own game . As per the norm , thats just my .02 , YMMV , Objects in mirror are closer than they appear , Yada Yada , Blah fricking Blah .
  21. Looks like my finances have finally reached the point where I can pick one of these up . I am gonna mount it on my 16 inch recon rifle in a Larue SPR mount . I have 1000's of the 55 grain FMJ bullets so my plan is to try and load something that will track the reticle out to 5 or 600 close enough to keep it on a torso sized target .
  22. Here is Monte's reply to this question on another forum . The 12 F/TR rifles we've been using since 2007 started out, and still are, pretty much stock. Not exactly 'bone' stock anymore, but nothing earth-shattering or out of the reach of someone else with one of these rifles. When I received my 12 F/TR in July 2007 it had already been in someone else's possession previously. So far as I know, all that had been done to it up to that point was a skim coat bedding job using Devcon. The barrel was original, the Target AccuTrigger was stock, and it still had that hideous 'lump' of a cheekpiece. Due to a mistake on my part remounting the scope between a match here in the Pacific North West, and the SOA/FCNC that year, I ended up augmenting the cheekpiece with some foam padding and a fair amount of duct tape. I used the same stuff to add a bit to the LOP - which didn't work so well. It would compress easily under recoil, and bop me on my glasses every few shots. Still, I think the results were pretty good regardless At that point if I recall correctly, a couple of the others were running Tubb adjustable buttplates, albeit somewhat modified (lightened) to make weight. One person eventually bedded their rifle, a couple eventually went to the Karsten adjustable saddle cheekpiece that I mounted on mine after 2007, and one person (Darrell Buell) to this day still has not done *anything* to his rifle - no bedding, still uses that factory cheek piece (yuck!), nada. If you've kept track of how we've done as a group, well, Darrell's performance has been a strong testament to the capability of the rifle as it comes from the factory. Prior to Bisley this year I sent my bolt off to Gre-Tan to have the firing pin hole bushed in hopes of buying a little insurance against pierced primers if some water got in the chamber. As it turned out, it was more a matter of 'when', not 'if', and the mod paid for itself several times. Along the way we had an opportunity to have the rifles re-barreled at the factory - several members of the team were going back for a tour, and to take a factory armorer's course. Mine got re-barreled along with the rest, and shipped back (along with the 'old' barrel (#1); made dang sure of that!). Long story made very short, the new barrel (#2) got sent back because of some problems, and a new one sent out (#3). After the 2008 season, we had another talk and I ended up with barrels #4 & #5. After a thorough scrutiny with the borescope, #4 got mounted on the gun. Anyone who thinks that we aren't getting 'factory' barrels is more than welcome to bring your borescope and take a look down the pipe on one of these and draw your own conclusions Now that I've once again spent a fair amount of time defending that the Savage rifles we've shot up to this point have been basically stock - with some minor modifications made at our own expense - and that the barrels are most certainly standard factory issue... let me add the caveat that what we may be using in the future may *not* be something you can find a direct match for in a catalog. Oh, it will most likely use standard parts (haven't been able to talk them into letting me stick a Rock or Brux barrel on there... yet) but the configuration may be something a little non-standard. The 12 F/TR rifle still shoots like a friggin' hammer when you get it dialed in - as evidenced by the pile o' goodies we brought back from Bisley with them - but F/TR is evolving. Subtly, but it is changing. Whether what we use ends up filtering back into the product line (gee, there's an idea...) remains to be seen.
  23. I know several of the guys who shot for team Savage and I believe they are largely a factory gun . I think Monte Milanuk is actually a member of the forums here but I will make a point of asking him and replying back here what I find out .
  24. Sorry you got stuck in Kingman . Last time I was there was to pick up my dads Caddy that had blown up the transmission just outside of town . At least you weren't there in August like I was ... LOL
