  1. For a match like the SS Nationals where all the guys have to make the same weight I would use a balance scale and the correct weights, then there is no question it's right.
  2. The link isn't working on my phone, where would he have placed?
  3. Unless you can show that your out of the box gun is over weight as shipped from CZ I don't think you would have much of a case. The 2oz is there for production variances. The rule is not weight of stock gun plus 2oz in mods of your choice
  4. There are MDs that regularly set stages with targets that must be engaged close to the 180 and have many targets avaliable to be engaged well beyond the 180, I do my best to not be one of them. At one of my matches if you are pointing your gun at the scoring for of a target from inside the shooting area there is a 99.99% chance that you are not violating the 180 I don't think it costs anything other than a little setup time to make stages that are fun, interesting and don't tempt shooters to make mistakes they are pretty good at doing that on their own.
  5. No FFL from you to them and back is ok
  6. During recoil, so "A" is the closest, but I don't think about it as before the transition, a transition can begin during recoil at the same time the trigger can be reset. also not every shot ends with a transition to another target
  7. Not quite we have yet to break 100 but we are getting close
  8. I think the point, especially in this game, is all the arrows are just about equally straight.
  9. Best rifle configuration is very match dependant. Lots of long range with very small targets longer and heavier may be a better fit, lots of closeness ge open hoser targets you may be better of with a short light weight one.
  10. 2x4s and a few 2x3s (the 2x3s were cheep last sumer at HD) I don't like 2x2s they tend to warp a lot

    Sig P320 .357

357sig is not real popular in the competition world, I know because everyone gives me my brass back
  12. So it's still at 112 power factor at 1000yd that's not too bad
  13. anyone know how to set the auto decimal yet? I can't seem to find it,
  14. You want real fun, Biker shoots 357 Sig in Open. He gets any and all 357 Sig brass I find anywhere. But he's from Portland and wears Birkenstocks, with socks, to rainy winter matches.I haven't shot a Match in my Birkenstocks yet but I have shot in sandals in the summer.
  15. I have have a G20 with 40 barrel and I like it better than the small frame GLOCKS for Major PF I think the large frame and heavier slide soak up more of the recoil and the gun doesn't feel as violent, also with a little fiddling with springs and followers I get a reloadable 21 in my mags with Arredondo extensions. Having said all that I do enjoy shooting Limited at minor PF with one of my 9mm's (this weekend was my 17L) I take a hit on the scoring but that doesn't bother me as i'm just having fun anyway and hosing away with a bunch of mouse farts is a hoot. But in the end it all comes down to what YOU find fun, I have had a lot of fun shooting in all the USPSA divisions and each division has its own draw. I would say if you are returning to USPSA for the run and gun aspect Limited minor is a hoot and about as run and gun as you can get this side of Open division.
  16. I'm assuming that is humor My point was things change and we make mistakes, that's why we have to cite a rule when we make a call that negatively affect a shooter. Sometimes you go to look up the rule and find its not what you thought and you make the correction and move on. As long as everyone acts like a grownup about it it's no big deal.
  17. It's also pretty common for some of us that have been arround the sport a while to remember the way a rule used to be in a previous rule book. There are many small changes in the various editions over the years and it's easy to quote now defunct rule language
  18. IIRC the Sig X5 is a SA only gun so not Prod legal. That said the price point of the 320 is really where the appeal comes in What matches? I'd love to check them out on Practiscore if you have a link. Always wondered how Max would do in that pool They arw not all single action. From the list P226 X-Five All Around (45.2 oz.),
  19. Well, it's like now, I've been waiting for a wide safety for my CZ for weeks now...a darn safety!! I shouldn't have to wait for that. I can call up at least 10 companies right now and get a 2011 safety here tomorrow. It just sucks when you try to get something for your gun and it's that difficult - especially for a part that pretty important. This is not the only story, there are plenty more like it. Did you wear the old safety out? i'll guess not.My point was if the gun comes out of the box in a configuration you like and is built well what parts do you "NEED" Actually yes, it's worn out and almost impossible to activate/deactivate...but that doesn't matter. Parts and spares should not be months in the making, it should be something that you can get easily. Unless you just want to have back up guns just for parts but how stupid is that. This is making my decision easier every day to stay with a 2011 over a CZ.My apology, I agree basic factory parts should be avaliable

Look for sight options for a CZ verses a 2011. Getting the correct sights on the gun is a basic upgrade that almost all shooters do to tune the gun to their needs. I agree there are opportunity costs to running something other than a 19/2011, or GLOCK in any division but I don't believe they are as big a problem as many make them out to be. I think your assessment above is spot on and persuasive. To me personally the issues you raise are reasons for shooting something different because I like being different but I know that's not for everyone.
  21. I'd just like to add a big thank you to Ken and his team for all the work they are doing to keep us going on several different platforms.
