  1. This just happened at our club this weekend. I have been shooting USPSA for a little over two years and I am a high C class production shooter. With no intent on cheating, I put 12 in my stater mag and then put it in the mag holder and not my pocket. To much talking and not enough focus on what I was doing loading. Had I run the stage according to my plan for mag changes I would have been fine. However that did not happen. Bottom line was I screwed up and got moved to open. I had a great time shooting the rest of the match. I always wanted to run a few stages without changing mags every ten rounds, just to see the difference. My head was not in the game because i was focused on the classifier. I knew that a 55% or up would bump me to B class and that was my goal. Anyway I thought i would chime in as one who was moved to open for this infraction, and I still had a good time. Enforce the rules and keep everyone on the same playing field.
  2. Last year I set a goal to finish as the top shooter in production C class at one of the local ranges. I found out this past weekend that I took 1st not only in Production, but also Limited 10 both in C class. This years goal is to move to Class B.
  3. A lot of 9mm shooters like the 147 for one reason...poppers. I know this is not the best approach, but many shooters like to hear the hit on the steel and you won't with 115 or 124.
  4. If your really interested in the game, do a search in your area for Coin-op amusements. There are bound to to be several operators and you may find one in a back room for a good price.
  5. Dead pirates send one hell of a message. From a former Marine, nice job seals.
  6. Here is my idea for a realty show. At the top of a large hill is a rotating guillotine. All around the hillside are random numbered holes. As the Guillotine spins you can place your bets on where the head ends up. May seem extreme, but you would have less crime, high TV ratings and the over crowded prison system would get some relief, not to mention some good revenue for the betting.
  7. Yes there is Desert match with moving gang bangers, i mean targets...
  8. At least we all still employeed
  9. Ours required us to take 5 vacation days every quarter. The only draw back was the 10 of those days are unpaid.
  10. I use the gripmaster to do a series of hand exercise while driving back and forth to work. I started to do them with my arms fully extended and it helped a great deal with my weak hand shooting. http://www.prohands.net/who/sports/handgun/
  11. That has to be one of funniest things I have heard in a long long time!!! :roflol: :roflol: :roflol: Funny, but amazingly true.
  12. Yep lots of lost time ahead on that site.
  13. Glockmeister Glock Field Emergency Spring Replacement Kit This kit includes all of the springs in the gun - 2-EPM Magazine Springs, 1-Extractor Depressor Plunger Spring, 1-Trigger Spring, 1-Firing Pin Spring, 1-Firing Pin Safety Spring, 1-Recoil Spring Assembly, 1-Slide lock Spring and 1-Mag Catch Spring. All are factory new parts (the magazine springs are EPM 10% extra power and the slide stop lever spring is custom made - not available from the factory). Specify whether you have Fully Metal Lined Mags (FML) or Non Fully Metal Lined (NFML) Magazines.
  14. I started two years ago shooting production. I went with 9mm due to ammo cost and no time to reload. I use the Glock 34 and the Springfield XD. Both are good guns, but I prefer the 34 over the XD, only because there are after market options for it. I started shooting Limited 10 last year as a second gun and I use the XD for it. Since Minor scores lower then Major outside the A, it has really helped me focus on accuracy. I was to focused on time when I started and accuracy went to hell quickly. Shooting 9mm in limited 10 keeps the focus on going for 95% of the available points and letting the time come as I go. This was the single best change that I have made in shooting and it has paid off. Where I went wrong was belts , holsters and mag holders. You have so much fun in this sport I jumped in with all the wrong equipment before I knew. You can spend a small fortune on equipment if you go wrong.
  15. I think to many shooters forget the fact that this is a volunteer sport. I have two young daughters and time is always short. Most times I have to travel for an hour and a half to the matches and we always try to get there in time to help with anything we can. The only people that have the right to complain are the people running the matches without enough support from the shooters.
  16. I have both belts and they either one works fine. Because the DA inner belt is thinner, it fits the loops on almost any pair of pants that I use.
