  1. +1 to Pdoyle- been there done that. I ordered a new SV with the SS frame, and NO it was not a gift from the wife-but SHE gave me the "OK" so I guess it is a XMAS gift from her afterall! TO ALL FOR A NEW YEAR
  2. Thank you "JN" you explained things very well. to you!
  3. NO just use the stock Glock barrel
  4. Must be cold there! How did you hold the gun steady enough to shoot?

    Mags

Depends what gun there for- BUT SV IMO are the best- I use these only for my .9mm open and then STI for the .40 Limited With the right guts the 170mm hold 29- 30 rds and correct base pad- the 140mm around 23-24.
  6. UltraTen- I went with 4 before I found the right one also!
  7. Had one years ago- G. Smith had built me 4 guns. All had that mag well, worked very well and had clean lines!
  8. Where are the "PHOTOS" Tis the season to "SHARE"
  9. VV N320 MG 180FMJ or Zero 180JHP. 4.3gr

I hope you have a RED CMORE on the race gun to go with that!
  12. Hay Roger- you know what they say- if it feels that good when you shoot it then stick with it!
  13. 13 pound in my G34- but it has the Vanek super trigger set up- works very well- Good luck!

    Glock

Any one know if there is a way to lighten up the mag spring tension on Glocks?
  16. Looks a lot better with the chrome- How did you get it done so fast? No holster wear yet, get to the range and give it a whirl, to bad I won't see it "RUN" on Saturday!
  17. Hi- for a quick fix try some rubber bands-they work
  18. I have had the same problems-with this and other dies. The die has to be all the way down and touching the plate. The brass may have over pressure problems also, and in most case's you will not be able to size at all, throw them away! Try this first- make sure the die IS all the way down- put a very well lubed case in and size, and tighten die down with the ram up and tighten lock ring. Next use a good lube- on the heavy side, let stand 15 minutes or so- then try to reload. I use a undersized die and this IS working for me! In the past I did not let the lube sit long on the cases so the lube was not doing its job as well!
  19. I have one of each- but I like the AA more! I find the Ghost holster and CR Versa pouches fit tighter and have "O" movement on the belt. Both are great items- you won't go wrong with either.
  20. Just go for it and send the whole gun to Mike-have him Carmonize it- its worth every cent!!
  21. For my second Glock a 34- I put in a Vanek super trigger kit,TOP SHELF IT IS, Dawson Ice 5.5 oz mag well, Dawson sights rear,FO FS, tung. full length capt. guide rod and a ISMI 13lb. spring, and grip tape. I did try a aftermarket barrel against the stock one and I sold the aftermarket one and went with stock- this is JUST as good as the other and I got all my money back to boot! Lots of "A's" Loading 125JHP, 5.5gr True Blue 1.125 AOL- Use this at you're own risk please!
  22. I also am having a problem with a new .9mm die- even with extra lube it just seams to be too tight and causes brass damage. However more lube with a longer sit time does help, and I have less ruined cases- and if the brass has been over pressured- well you will most likley have to use stock die then finish with the EGW. I have had good results over the last two days with this, however it's not the way I wish to resize my brass! Have a EGW in .40S&W and it works very well- I am still looking at over pressure problems with the brass I am getting as the lower web is more bulged than my brass from my .9mm PS I have no scratching on my Brass. Edit

    EGW Die

Yes I think there is to much pressure on the brass- not all of it is once fired! Lots of range brass!
