  1. Thanks to all- I'll start with the least expensive, then work my way up to the Brownells unit. BUT no more lead- FMJ from now on! Any need Zero 230LRN?
  2. Got a new to me 625. Put 50 rds down the tube. Went to clean it, and wow, the chamber and half way down the bl. is just full of nasty lead! Now I remember why I don't shoot lead. Any way they were Zero 230LRN. What is the best stuff to use to get the lead out? I have tryed soaking over night with #9 and pluged the bl. so it stays in and just used a - ouch- brass brush as well as nylon, first time in 12 years I have used lead, going back to FMJ in this 625-when I can clean it "OUT"
  3. I have used WSP for the last several months- Havent noticed any thing to stop me from using them-BUT= check the PF before that big match-just in case
  4. Mikej- I dont know about the moon clips but- maybe you just need some good quality ones like from Ranch products or TK Custom!
  5. Tell them what you have on the rear, that way they can get you the proper front sight. PS they sell them in sets to match also- thats what I did on both my Glocks-
  6. Who on the forum sells these bags?

    New grips

Got my blue Nills grip from Greg on Saturday, very nice feel to them. Just have to get them on the 625 and give em a try!
  8. Jim, I have been shooting my STI framed .9mm open gun for a year now. Have never had a problem with it. Stay with a one sided style scope mount, with a cmore. Mine is of the Dawson type, there better for the raeson's of ejection. "I" have found the style that mounts on both sides of the frame over the ejection port, to be a little more tricky on getting that case out. I have seen them work fine, but just a little more work!? Best of luck on the new open project!
  9. Try a set of the Dawson sights. Adj. rear and a FO green/red front. Adjust rear as needed!
  10. +1 to RTG- why spend the money! The Glock rear sight is a snap to drift on and off with a brass, or nylon punch. Once you do it that way it becomes second nature with Glocks!

    New grips

Has any one tried the Nills Grips? They are up there in price, but- are you getting that much more for the money, how do they fit the hand, ect.ect. thanks in advance!
  15. The lock on the Ghost is "SOOO" much more secure than the CR. BUT I have my holsters on the AA belt setup- holds the holsters and mags much tighter on the belt- NO QUESTION- chek one out the next time a shooter has one on!
  16. Both are very good holsters, I have two of each! However- I feel that the Ghost has a much better and positive lock system that the CR!
  17. Hi- another revolver guy that shot with Mike said: the only thing faster than Mikes turn around time on his work is his "TRIGGER FINGER"

    Gunshows

I have to say this again on this forum_ Listen WE ARE DOING THIS TO OURSELF- "NO" I repeat "NO LAWS HAVE CHANGED" its us the shooting people that have created this insane buying of everything we can find! I lived this as an FFL in MA when the B Bill went into effect! My AR15 that was selling for $600.00 went to $1,200.00 over night! As a DLR I was almost unable to find primers- WSP and WSR as well as all reloading items. WE are doing it - not the USGOVT - YET! Slow down. Please don't be "CLOSED"
  19. +1 on Mikes work! Had Mike do a 625 for me in September- its out of sight smmmooth! And now I am about one or two weeks from having my second done by him! Really now- lets think- his work is "perfection."

    S&B Brass

Its what they said! I had some 2k of s&b once fired. And after crushing the primers with my 650 I traded it off for other brass. But if you have a 1050 it will ream out the pocket no problem
  21. Dan- great looking firearm- you will be able to keep the hands warm with that cool looking fore end- Rick G. FL.
  22. Looks like a "CHEAP" shot from STI. I think they{STI} are just jealous of SV-rock on SV!
