  1. Very nice-are you the smith on the block to? Love the slide cuts-
  2. For the G35-if and when you get one, I have the CR speed and have used it for the last eight months, both in open and limited. Go to the range and see if a shooter will let you try it out! I also have a Ghost- but I think you would be better off for know trying a CR speed- Good Luck

    sps mags

I purchased a used SPS 170mm from a forum member about five months back with Grams guts. Holds 29rds of .9mm in my STI open gun. Has not given me any problems this far. Am I the lucky one!
  4. One shot lube is the way togo- try loading without it then again after the lube. And if you are loading .40S&W, from Glocks you will need it more!
  5. Yes it is a bull barrel- its heavy
  6. Ok- have a new to me Limited SV 5" full frame in .40S&W. It has front serrations- Question before it hits APW for chrome. Why would I have the slide skeletonized, and how many cut would be good on each side? And if to much weight is removed from the slide, will this increase the front to recoil up more? And becaue it has serrations I don't know if they could be put in, I may have to see when APW get it if it can be done and look good because of the serrations. Someone has this on their guns let me hear from you!
  7. Due to price and MPG on my Tundra-20MPG- and the distance to shoot at some of the ranges-longest trip is 260miles round trip- and another at 180miles round trip, I have to cut down on my matches per month. The short trip with approx. 9gals gas at $3.75=$33.75 and the $15.00 to shoot thats $48.75 To shoot the six stages approx. 2minutes of shooting plus the Well you can see how things add up for us and everyone else. If ya can't see them, you can't shoot them! DVC
  8. Where the h--- is our Gvt. on this gas issue? Hope not to offend any one with this comment? But I bet I do. Any way I still think there is more they can do about gas prices! Hay- let's have the major co's that produce it "MAKE LESS MONEY"
  9. Well it still gets the gun out- grey market or not
  10. Have you heard? Is there a way to find the differance between a real Ghost holster and a Grey market one? I have heard that there are grey market ones out there. And yes I am asking because I just made a purchase- a person said its grey market - why because it has no "Ghost" on the front of the CF front/side of holster! Any comments?
  11. Looks like you have it all! Get a bunch of good ammo and go to the range-and don't forget get plenty of ammo for all those "A" zone hits. Like everyone stated ya have about all you need!

    Easy math...

Never was any good at math! I can't beat it,
  14. NO music here! I pay attention to my loading= there is those that have DQ'd and those that will! This will also go to over charges in the case!
  15. Hi, glad to have you on board! As for money - "It's only expensive when you spend it" before you buy. Read, read, and read some more of the forum, there are a million great comments here and all are worth the time to take in. Go to some local matches, local gun clubs will send you in the right direction, or USPSA for club locations. Look before you buy - nothing wrong with a used gun, I have purchased three or more over the years and have had several new ones built. Ask questions, everyone does, you will see in time even the top people in the area are asking on this forum. Open guns or Limited? Now that's a good question! Best of luck and a big WELCOME to you.
  16. Good looking paint Jim- The color's and style you use just date you-to the 60's
  17. Last Friday picked up my new Rudy Project five set glasses in RX. Sat. started out bright, used the action brown lens. As the day went on I changed out to the racing red. Wow- those brown targets jumped right out at me. And as far as the cmore 8moa- no problems. Thanks to all those that posted their comments on this web, gave me a great amount of info. and the perfect shooting gear-DVC
  18. I have a buff in my open gun-must be set up for it. Runs like a well-Rolex!
  19. Have several new recoil springs given to me for my SV .40 None are in packages, but are all new and never used. A person told me that you can weigh the spring and therefore find out the lb of said spring. I would think this may be so but- does a 14lb spring always weight the same? And same goes for other springs? Hay how about someone that KNOWS the lb of 14-20lb springs weighing them then checking to see what they measure on a spring guide!!
  20. Go with the RA40T Winchester 180GR SXT Ranger. What you will have is the "OLD" RA40SXT minus the black head and brass case! The old box's stated Ranger SXT controlled expansion other wise known in Law Enforcement as "BLACK TALLON" I do beleive that they were discontinued from the market due to the severe body damage they did on the human body. The results were recorded in a number of medical cases involving police shootings, and what surgens had to say about there use. My facts are from my memory- in law enforcement shootings from over- approx. 25 years ago, give or take. Maybe someone younger than I on the forum can add in. But in MO for self protection RA40T will do it for ya. The dept. I was with is still carrying these rounds!
  21. After seeing the great job on your's I hope you don't mind if I do a "close" copy of it, who made the grips, and who did you use on the black finish?
  22. One of the forum members is going to trade me some other brass for 25.5lbs of the once fired S&B. Had to hand check some 6k cases or approx. 60lbs. Thanks to all in the forum!
  23. Made a purchase of 6k once fired brass. On the bottom it's stamped S&B 9x19 08 and the primers have the red waterproof on them. Question- I have found that after reloading them 90% of the primers appear to be seated lower into the primer pocket than on any of my other reloads RE: ww,rp, starline ect. I am using winchester sp as a primer. Any info from the forum? At this time I have not fired any of this ammo-so I am not sure if the FP will hit the primer.
