  1. How about making some dummy rounds with just the bullet and no powder and the spent primer? The powder will not addd that much weight so the weight should be close.
  2. Gonna have to start with the hammer down. Your going to have to pull the trigger and lower it by hand. One slip and your going home for the day.

    Glock 34 Upper

I have one of the Lone wolf slides in a 24(had a 35) and both were well made slides. just not production legal though
  4. Also what is the OAL of your reloads. Glocks dont work loaded long like the 2011/1911s do
  5. On the eddges, I just take the point off the corner on the bottom of the back. It is almost cut off then rounded. If you have any #6 followers try a mag with that combo. I have never had to modify a #6 as they are a little slimmer at the base than the #8. What modifications were done to the gun. I have one that was basically built up from a frame Vanek trigger, magwell, new guide rod, springs, lonewolf barrel and slide the works.
  6. Never used the tool but I would just give wilson a call and see what they will do for him. EXCELLENT customer service
  7. I have an ACE on my game gun but a CTR on my Short barrel and it locks up solid
  8. What number follower do you have. I have run the dawsons with both old body styles and new body styles. If the follower is marked 8, you are going to have to modify them. I bevel the back of the follower rounding the corner on the back part at the bottom. I also radius the side of the bottom of the follower making it a little narrower at the bottom and rounded over. I have had to do this on every #8 follower and can get 19 or a very tight 20 when new and 20 after broken in a little. The only followers I have not had to midify were the #6 followers which are slimmer in the back than the #8 On the mag dropping, out have you checked your grip. My guess is you are hitting that extended mag release with your support hand. I would try putting in a standard factory mag release or cutting down the one you have to stock length and seeing if the problem goes away. Another extended release or one with a paddle can be even worse if thats the problem. What kind of problems were you having with the glock? Were you shooting factory or reloads? If reloads, how long did you have them
  9. My guess would be case length since they dont space off the rim like a revolver will. Had see a guy shoot 45ACP that he screwed up and trimmed WAY too short like sub 45gap short. Broke a couple extractors on that gun I believe.
  10. The magpul CRT has a locking system that takes the play out of the stock
  11. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20100822/SPT/8230335/Diane-Davis-Cain-s-dad-still-watches-over-her
  12. I would assume it would be over the 140mm based on the fact that with the extentions you can only get it up to 20 rounds. An STI mag which has more room and better specs than a glock mag is pretty much a 21 round mag with a rare one holding 22. I just dont see a glock mag fitting the length at 22 rounds
  13. Order a sight for a gas block not a same plain
  14. typically brass is down in the side saddles. Then just roll the gun over and do the turn and burn
  15. Currently shoot a 45 here because thats just what I had. I think my next one is going to be a 9mm with the 10+1.
  16. Built one with a lone wolf 24 upper and so far I am liking the 24 alot
  17. What is just as bad is actually getting to go to the match after working all day the day before, driving overnight and making it to the match 15 min before shooters meeting and the cell phone goes off the whole match
  18. Have had the JP, springfield, and the Jard. For the money, I just wasn't Impressed with the JP trigger. The springfield trigger work, I had the 50 buck job with the speed hammer and the light springs. That is on my SBR and I love it especially for the price. Crisp and feels much nicer than it did before the work. I rate it pretty much even with the JP I have. I have a 2pound jard in my competition gun and love it. Very crisp, short reset and smooth.
  19. I have one that I occasionally use. I prefer and am faster off the belt though. The only time I love the side saddle is when I have to do a slug/shot reload and need them to go in the gun in a specific order. I line then in the order I want to put them in the gun front to back on the side saddle and go right down the line. For me its much easier than going for 2 different caddies or thinking about what round goes where as Its preset off the clock. That is the only time I use one
  20. SJC has a nice one with a button similar to the 2011 buttons
  21. I have had the dawson sights before but prefer the sevigney. I just like the deep/wide notch. Just wish I could get something similar for the 1911/2011(its not a novak cut). I would look at the Atlanta Arms ammo in minor. Its good quality competition loads and is just as cheap if not cheaper than the walmart ammo.
  22. The averages can go down but the class was you could go down 1 class a year, 1 time per year. The way they would do it is shoot incredibly low scores at a tiny local match or even better "targets only" so no matter what they shot at a big match their average would still remain low. They would also use the targets only to inflate their average sometimes greatly. That is one reason I got fed up with the state especially. State team based on averages and it is amazing what people would sell their integrity for(leather pouch value approximately 150 bucks).
  23. I have shot other sports with the money added and certain shoots were breeding grounds for sandbagging. One in particular gave a 1100 sporting clays gun for class winners in 12 ga and like 6 cases of ammo+money for the small GA. Guy came in with a sub 80 ave across the board on targes he shot like a week before the match and was shooting in D and E class which is as low as the classes go. Cleaned house across the board with scores in the mid-upper 90s. The next year he shot some more targets only and kept the average way low again and did the exact same thing. On and he was shooting Master Class in sporting clays as well. The idea was good to spread the wealth across the board but in reality, the only ones who had a chance were the top shooters and the sandbaggers.
  24. I usually try and reload when moving. I have planned to go to slidelock a couple times as it saved the reload on a pretty quick course of fire. Was lucky that the steel was early one. If I had a miss on it, I had a reload point planned
  25. I have one for a different gun and it is injection molded, not Kydex like the regular bladetech. It locks in well on my guns and I am pleased with it especially for the price
