  1. I've shot thousands of reloads with federalprimers in my Glock with reduced striker spring. Federal primers are the softest. I would think there factory ammo uses same primer. I would suggest buying some and trying them.
  2. I've always reloaded my own but I would go with (or think) federal American eagle. Ive always liked it in .45 and 9mm. I use Federal primers for my reloads. Softest primer out here!
  3. Would someone explain why it's worth it if automated? i just got a 1050 pro for my 1050.
  4. Lookign forward tonhear your results. I got my powder in today. Wow.... fast shipping for $7.95. Going to load up some ammo this weekend.
  5. Gotcha. I actually thought making -1 for the body larger would be a good idea. A faster shot on target is more "defensive" than a slow more accurate shot. Oh well.... I like the fault line clarifications.
  6. The -1 area is gonna be larger. I wonder if this is because of the dislike for the 1 pd\1 sec change? A compromise? A way to get out of it without backing down?.... The 4" -0 circle in the head box. Is the rest gonna be a miss or -1?
  7. Couldn't find any locally to try so I bit the bullet and bought 10 1.1# jugs from Graffs. You guys are costing me a lot of money!
  8. I'm gonna buy some. Hoping maybe to find someone who'll lower the hazmat fee without having to buy a lot. I want to try it before buying 10 lbs.
  9. Question: Why get one in 9mm? Shooting minor?

  11. I've got two SP-01 Shadows. I bought one used and one new. They're slightly different at the beavertail profile. Did CZ make updates/changes at some point.
  12. After reading this thread, I may try it. Started using wsf, then switched to titegroup, then to N320. I like the 320 but if I can use this for the same results I'd try it. I'm also shooting a SP-01 Shadow.
  13. You guys just work up loads based on similar burn rates? I don't see any load data for anything other than SG for this powder.
  14. Is there anyways to tell other than just searching for a name?
  15. I'm anxious to see how many MD will use the VCRL? I've heard from a few folks that they will not because "they're not needed because you're either behind cover or your not. It's simple to tell"! I just changed the topic because how can anyone respond to that?! If I had hair I would have pulled it out! I'm thinking to myself "are you freakin kidding me"?! I'd like to see them! I actually commented to HQ that I'd like to see them mandatory rather than optional. Though, I know that's not gonna happen! We'll see.........
  16. I bought the swage sense. Side question. You guys bolting the platform to your bench? You bolt it down at all 4 corners or two on each side on the middle? I'm thinking 4 corners.
  17. Mostly looking for 9mm. Theres no such thing as a free lunch. So, you buy brass and depending on where from, it could have problems. Different problems depending on what's going on. Unless you want to just buy new brass which I don't. That's too much cost for me. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
  18. Thanks. Didn't even think about that! Duh....
  19. I don't. That's the point. I'd rather spend the money vs time. I'll check those places out. Thanks.
  20. I don't need to get over picking up brass. Sometimes you can't pick it up. I've used tarps when practicing. Definitely a time saver! Never used the wheel.
  21. I'm at the point in my life where I want to shoot a lot. For me that means reload a lot. Which means prep a lot or buy already prepped components like cleaned brass. Of course there's got to be a balence between time (mine) and cost. So, I'm looking into starting to buy processed or cleaned brass in bulk. I've found a few places that it can be bought for <$0.04 ea shipped. That adds up over the 20k rounds I want to shoot next year. However, when I think about the cost (of materials) to do it myself, I'd guess it's really only about $0.02 ea. Again, that's more money that can be spent on other stuff but then there's the time it takes to do it (which can be spent doing other things) So,...there's a trade off on both sides. For me time is more important as long as the cost isn't too much. Plus I HATE picking up brass! Is anyone else buying used brass? If so, do you have anyone you'd recommend?
  22. Yes, but there are memebers who do want this rule. So,..... I've made peace with it. I mean, I want to shoot every stage -0 down and have the fastest time. So, how will the rule change that. When I get there it won't matter.
