    Shadow 2 msrp

Dang, not sure I'd want to have two guns, buying a new one every year. At least not at $1300+ each.
  2. Ha ha. Well, I'm not trying to pretend I'm the end all be all when it comes to primer seating. So, I'll see what giving the seating adjustment screw another partial turn does. It'd be helpful if someone with a 1050 would chime in. Not sure how much to turn? I guess I could try it with one primer in the tube and obviously no powered in the case. If it sets it off, it'll just be loud.
  3. Funny how the 300 I've loaded with federals go off with a lighter hammer spring.

    Powders

I've been using titegroup. It works great and is cheap. I've also used WSF and I'd say it's great too. I've recently started trying N320. So far I like it. It's cleaner than TG and cooler but is twice the price. Though, powder is the cheapest component so if you find something you like and it's more don't sweat it too much. It's just an added bonus of your powder of choice turns out to be cheaper. I wanted to give coated bullets another try so that's one reason I'm trying N320. TG is hot and some say that makes coated smoke more than it would with a cooler powder. I'm gonna load up some coated and give them a try. All that said, WSF is good as are the others. So, unless you're like me (or most of us) and you just want to try them all, stick with WSF if it's working for you.
  5. I went to a 8.5# hammer spring so I definitely have to switch to federals. CGW's says you need federals when running the 11.5# too. I still don't think it's a seating issue.
  6. How aggressive are they. I have the VZ diamondbacks palm swell. I love them. They are verry aggressive. At least at first. Then your hand gets used to them or wears down the checkering a little. I don't want to get anything that's less abrasive.
  7. I wanted one but the price was an issue. Especially after watching videos. It doesn't look like it works that well and seems to take as long as if you do it by hand. I have the Frankford arsenal vibes prime. It's junk but I can actuallget it to work. The tubes it comes with need to be thrown away. I use the Dillon tubes. I do have to bend or torque on the assembly once I get the primers and Dillon tube in the adapter but it does work. I love dillons stuff but I'd spend money one something else. Like a case feeder or bullet feeder. Or if you haven't bought the press adding that money for the primer filler and get the higher end press! Just my $0.11!
  8. These are the RNFP and they did plunk. I've shot their 147 gr RN at 1.135" too. I've had those pass the plunk in two different shadows
  9. Got out at lunch. 3.7 gr N320/135 gr Xtreme CZ SP-01 Shadow Orange 11/01/16 @ 11:40 am 76 degrees Humidity 67 % Chrono 10' from muzzle. Chrono in shade w/clear view to the sky and diffusers used. 988 994 982 977 988 984 973 993 990 962 first shot Hi 994 Lo 962 Av 983 Es 32 Sd 9 The lower FPS ones I think were due to a little spillage. I had the press jam up on me because the cases not going into station 1. Each time I'd notice a little powder on the shell plate.
  10. Anyone? Thinking 3.7 gr N320 / 135 gr Xteme @ 1.110" / Fed 100. Gonna try try to chrono out of my Shadow tomorrw.
  11. I wasn't loading on my 1050 w/MBF. I was loading a new recipe on my 650 w/o MBF. The MBF wouldn't have dropped a bullet. This is one got powder and I put the bullet on myself. Though, I did have one case that felt unbelled as I was sitting the bullet in the case. Now I know why! Case gauging is helpful too! That's where I noticed it.

    floating trigger pin

I think the roll pin is for the trigger/return spring. It holds the spring in place. Until you get the roll pin thru the frame. Keep your hand hand over the top of the frame to keep it the spring from launching to the deep dark corners. Just in case it comes lose while inserting the floating pin thru.
  13. I too Ike the trigger return on the Glock I tried shooting a 1911 the other day. HATED the trigger! I used to love them. It's all what you get used to.
  14. You're splits are slower with the CZ? I try not to focus on how fast my splits are. At least not in the since of I gotta have lighting fast splits. I try to shoot as fast as my sights allow. Try being the key word! To quote the great Ricky Bobby, "I wanna go fast"!
  15. I had a friend with a XDM 5.25 stuck around in case my amok wouldn't pass in my gun. I must have a slow barrel.
  16. You load 147 xtrme w/3.0 gr of tite group and get 129 pf out of a CZ SP-01? Mine only barely made 125 with 3.2 gr
  17. Wasn't tryIng to start a thread comparing a Glock to the CZ. Wondering what is most important to you when choosing or for the one you chose.
  18. I have. I like them both! I've probably shoot the G34 better so far but the CZ is awesome. I'm torn. Like both for different reasons.
  19. My CZ is freaking accurate! And really accuracy is probably my most important issue but I just feel that I'm accurate enough with either of those two. I've shot 2" groups off hand at 20yds with my G34. For me that's good enough for this game but........... ain't nobody gonna have a problem with too much accuracy! This weekend I'm gonna do some more in depth accuracy comparison between the two. Gonna see what I can do all they way to 50yds with each gun but mostly focussing on 30 yds max Now saying all that. I wasn't really trying to get a comparison of the two guns I listed. Just want to know whats the most import features that determines your choice.
  20. I definitely agree with this. However, everyone does have to make a choice. That's why I was asking. For instance, I like the Glock. Shoot it well. But always wanting to see if there's something better, I bought the CZ. It's more accurate, less felt recoil and is a nice gun! However, after shooting both I think I could be equally as good with either. As could everyone else. But like I was saying something has to be the deciding factor for which a person goes with.
