  1. This has happened on two different presses. Could the powder be getting in between the powder par and the spacer and that's causing the galling?
  2. I've seen one break with my own eyes. Dust cover broke into pieces. It seems like you're thinking what I said is crazy or something. Slides crack. Things break. When you cut holes in them, that can and usually will increase the probability of a failure. Not saying it's gonna break in the first 500. Just saying it's more probable that it could.
  3. I have the MK7 1050 pro. It's worked fine. I'm glad I didn't buy the new evolution. Now that they sold to Lyman, I'll really never buy one. I prefer to use just a 1050 with no automation.
  4. Ha ha. Yeah. I could see that. Though, you shoot that gun enough and you'll wear it out/break it. So, you'll eventually want a new one. Think how great it'd be if you could buy an OR S2! But let's be real! I doubt the rules are going to get changed.
  5. Be great if shooters were vocal enough to get the rules changed? Why is there a weight limit? Is it because someone benefits from it in some way? Could there have been some sort of scratch my back, I'll scratch yours going on? Spending $400+ to make your gun more probable to breaking, I mean make weight, shouldn't be a thing.
  6. No reason not to get a 34, IMO. No downside and you can shoot it in competition if you ever decide to ditch the dot. I personally like the feel of the 34 better but everyone is different
  7. I looked at the videos form the USPSA shooters. There seemed to be a few repeats of the same topics. This looks like a reboot of the panteo videos. I'm sure the information is good, and the one option of membership is not bad, but I'd think you'd be done watching the minimal content very quickly. I'm anxious to see how much they add content over time. With that many top names, I can't imagine that $124 divided that many times goes far enough to make it worth all thier time.
  8. Yes! I'm shooting Glock so I can get about 6! You're not wrong! You're not wrong either!
  9. Thanks. It was the mags. I really need to focus on getting better at shooting. I want to spend zero time tuning mags. I already have guns set up for CO. No tuning mags. Minor is so easy to load for. I mistakenly bought a new open gun in the part of the year that should have been spent practicing. Not load development and tuning. This is the start of my third year shooting. I started in production. Then went to limited. Then CO. Then open and now back to CO. I've switched guns a dozen times. No joke. I guess I had fomo? I've wasted soooo much time, effort and mental energy. It kind of angers/depresses me to think about where I'd be if I wouldn't have!
  10. How'd you guess?! Ha ha. No! I'll be shooting CO for the rest of the year. I might go back to limited next year. I'm liking the hicap divisions. Open was fun! I may give it another try in a few years.
  11. Your more optimistic than me. Seems nothing works well on first roll out. I just ordered 2 more DPP's.
  12. I just recently had similar issues with a new gun. In my case the ammo wasn't clearing the mag all the way. The end of the case was still in the mag. I switched to mags with thighter feed lip dims and new mag springs and followers. No more issues. If it happens again, check to see if the base of the case is still in the mag. If it clears the mag, then I'd guess it's the extractor like others have already mentioned.
  13. I've got 3. One thing I've noticed with all of them is the adjustment of britness. You get down to the most dim setting and lose the dot and have to press the button several times to get it to show back up. It's like there's several levels of brightness that you can't see. Leupold will replace/repair them. My strategy is to have 2 guns set up and have a 3rd dot. Practice with one gun. Shoot the other in matches and have the site dot for when one of the press goes down.

Did Glock do away with the window cutout on top?
  15. Is it possible you're contacting the slide while it's in motion?

Don't the instructions say hand tight? If you have new screws, they come with loctite on them. If I was re-installing a dot, I'd clean the old ones and use blue.
  17. Is what y'all are taking about like the Walthers? I know if you go too light on those, they'll come out of battery just a little while you're running.
  18. I just loaded up some coated bullets using a FCD. Guess I'll find out if that causes any accuracy issue.
  19. ^^^^this and let's go ahead and say that crimp does not hold the bullet in place. Best to learn that early on.
  20. I wouldn't sweat using a 13 lb. I wouldn't even give it a second thought.
  21. If it were me, I'd switch powder. Not a big deal in my mind. I don't use federal primers on my mk7. I also won't set up my guns where they only pop fed primers. It takes just a little bit of practice to overcome the use of a slightly heavier trigger. Especially, when the heavier spring that will set off anything, only makes for a 5.5# - 6# DA trigger. So, again not a big deal for me.
  22. A couple of years ago Vogel told me he used an 11 in all his Glocks. Even in his 24. So, I just bought those. I use 8/9 lb in my open gun. Recoil spring is just to send the slide back forward, strip the next round out of the mag and to lock the gun back up in battery. Not really to soften the blow of the slide hitting the frame. I'd buy both and see which one you like best then stick with that. Maybe even film yourself just shooting. See how the gun returns. If it dips a lot then maybe the 11lb would be better. I've always heard the ismi springs we're not as accurate to their specified poundage as the wolff springs. Though, I use them on my tungsten GR because the Wolff won't fit. YMMV. I shoot 34's.
