  1. Wondering if any of you might clean or add lube to your gun halfway thru a match?

    Next Level GM

They are either super human or have figured out all the secrets!
  3. S1 is gonna need less weight reduction (if any) to make weight. That'd make me think it'd be easier/cheaper to set up for CO. I've had both guns. I don't feel the S2 gives any advantage over a S1 that's been set up correctly. However, I like the S2 better. Its almost ready to run out if the box, IMO. If I shot one in production, I'd go with the same one for a CO setup. Both are awesome!
  4. Seems like I get my hands to the longer mags sooner and I get them in the gun sooner. 155's seem faster to reload than 140's. That would make me think the same is true for the 170's.
  5. What constitutes reacting? Moving/going for the gun at the beep or drawing the gun?
  6. I'm thinking the moment the beep goes off, you've stated the course of fire and are on the clock. I'd think between "are you ready" and the beep, the shooter can stop and ask for more time.

    Best Connector??

That's why there's no best. Like others have recommended, you might buy a couple different ones and switch back and forth to see what you like best. These parts are made in a way where the tolerances vary quite a bit.
  8. well, that does make sense. I've never noticed it but I'd bet you're right.
  9. This is something I've noticed for years. I've never let it bother me too much. Just wondered if anyone else noticed it too. Am I the only one that notices, different connectors make the slide move when the striker slams forward? Even different connectors that are the same type? My therory is that because of the slide to from play and the different connectors angles keep the trigger bar and striker leg in contact longer. Or it makes them contact each other in different spots. So that creates upward torque effect or a different movement on the slide and when the striker gets released, there is movement in the slide. Does it cause any negative affect? Not sure. Probably not. Especially at the ranges we shoot. But I notice it. If you want to see what I'm talking about, get your Glock and hold it in your left hand. Point it in a way that you can see the right side of the slide. Look at the gap in between the slide and the frame near the back part of the gun. Pull the trigger. See if the slide moves down and forward when the striker slams home. Obviously, you have to be sure you're not making the gun move when pulling the trigger. I can see it do by looking at the sights while dry firing too. Especially, when dry firing one handed. The OEM "-" that I have in my gun now doesn't seem to do it at all. Thoughts?

    Best Connector??

That was pre hhf update so even if they still made them they'd be M connectors.

  12. I personally don't think the plate adds enough height to be an issue. So, for the idea of milling is better because it gets the optic lower, isn't worth milling alone, IMO. The MOS plate is not near as tall as other guns adapters. Even then, I wouldn't mill for that reason. As for the milling creating a tighter pocket that is somehow better for the optic, I'm not sure I buy that. It may take stress off the screws, or at least some of the stress, but the internals of the otpic still take the same stress. The slide still slams back and forth. If I was buying a new gun and that gun has the OR option, I'd choose that. The ability to change otpics, take it off completely and shoot production, and resale make the OR a better option for me.
  13. It's tooles so I guess Dawson
  14. I see very few people that can't pull the trigger @ .2 or below. Maybe I'm wrong about that? Pretty sure I seen a video of JJ where he says something about his trigger speed not being what other top shooters can do. He said he just has to make up for it in other areas. Poeple want to pull the trigger fast. It's cool. It sounds cool and looks real cool on social media. Again, IMO once you get to .2 sec split, foucing on other aspects could be more beneficial.
  15. I guess I should have been more specific. Obviously, .5 splits are too slow! I'm talking about around the .2'ish and faster. IMO, I think splits are less valuable compared to transitions. I think there can be more time saved or made up on faster transitions. One reason is trying to shave a .20 down to a .15 can also lead to trigger freeze and low left hits (for right handed) because you're tensing up. If you stay at .2 and are drilling close holes that's gonna lead to more alphas. For me, when I simply use the dot/sight as indicator to.oull the trigger, I have great success. The splits are as fast as they need to be and I never have trigger freeze. Now, working on transitions and shaving .5 - .1 per transition , that's gonna make up time. And for every piece of steel, splits are not a factor. Or shouldn't be. Just my opinion.
  16. An 11lb recoil spring/13lb hammer spring always worked well for me. I like 124 gr bullets around the 130-132 pf. Also, I'd not worry too much about split speed. Ask any champion and I'd bet they'd place the importance of transitions above splits.
  17. Sounds good. I like the looks of the 2 port comp. Might got that route next time.
  18. Thanks man. Hopefully be shooting it Sunday at the match.
  19. He told me he's taking the next 3 wks off.
  20. I didn't know that. I'd like to get my hands on an E2.
  21. I've a PT grip/frame before. Only cheely I've felt was his first one. Like PT way more. The E2 is nice from what I hear but never felt one.
