  1. I tried multiple M&P's over the years. I was very disappointed when shooting 147 gr bullets. I know a few guys who shoot M&P's now. They seem to like them. Though, I don't know what bullet they're shooting.
  2. This one is shows the disparity between different classifiers IMO. I'd say this one is pretty easy. It hasn't been shot a ton and most of the data is probably from Nats. Which, is going to be different than the info you get from a couple years of shooting it a club matches. I shot it in 4.36 with 1C. 6.4220 HF. That's around 107%
  3. 1. Check your crimp on the bullet. Are you seeing sign of tumbling? 2. Like already asked, how old is the M&P you're shooting? I disagree, strongly, with anyone saying plated bullets are inaccurate. I've shot over 50k of them over the years, I've never found them to be at all inaccurate. I've shot all brands. I pride myself on being able to shoot accurately and just don't believe from my experience that plated is at all less accurate. That doesn't mean you couldn't have gotten a bad batch. You run that risk with anything though. Check your bullet crimp. If that checks out, then I'd say your barrel doesn't like something with your particular load. Very doubtful that the bullet itself is defective.
  4. I've shot them all. I'm currently shooting a Glock 34. My only complaint about Glocks is the plastic mags create more friction and can get hung up easier if you don't hold the gun vertically when dropping the mag. Ignore anyone telling you to do the "wrist flick". In fact if someone say that to me I ignore anything they say after that. The triggers aren't as nice as a good SA but that's not really a big deal. I personally don't hang up on this gun is better than that gun for transitions, draws or reloads. I just want reliable, accurate and then I get used to the gun. Glocks are fine. So is everything else. I'd say your classifiers aren't telling you anything that pertains to the gun. If you're inaccurate, that's probably you. If you're slow, again probably you. That's just my opinion. I've been down this road. Thinking maybe this gun will do one thing better, or it is faster. I've come to the opinion that there's not a perfect gun. There are several really really good ones though!
  5. If not, get the barrel reamed.
  6. Might be a valid point. Though, do you know there wasn't enough time?
  7. Everyone saying go to Valentine’s FB to see where he stands, is missing the point. Foley got to get his say in a multi-page ad in Front Sight. So, unless Valentine refused to have his say in the magazine, it's not really all that fair and impartial. Doesn't matter how you feel. Doesn't matter who you like or don't like. It's supposed to be equal. At least to me it is.
  8. I have not loaded their FMJ’s.
  9. Your opinion. We shouldn't skip all the normal processes because you're ok with it. Kind of difficult for the other Mike to give any specifics when he's essentially being shut out of the conversation.
  10. I agree. I think Foley is staying quite and out of sight. Just letting the clock running out. Why would he risk a $100k+ job by accidentally saying the wrong thing. Unlikely that would happen but still.
  11. My opinion/guess is that the current powers that be wanted to skate under the radar during the potential candidate process. They didn't want any challengers. I mean. Can't blame anyone for not wanting competition for a job.
  12. I gotta pretty good guess....
  13. I think the Gen 5 is a little more accurate. It ejects brass a lot more consistent. It's a little easier to hit reloads. I think the triggers are a little better too. I prefer no finger grooves. The only negative for the Gen 5 is the short european style chamber. Do you need to sell your Gen 3 to get a Gen 5,.... Probably not.

    MOS Plate torque

I've had 4 MOS Glocks. I've only had one work lose. I didn't degrease any before installing. Just used the factory loctite. I suspect I didn't torque it down enough. Always worried about over torque when something calls for "hand tight". I've reinstalled it and have about 600 rnds on it now. I did degrease and reapplied loctite.
  15. Atlas is lowering the price of the Titan Jul 1. Wonder why
  16. I don't believe they make springs specific for the Gen 5. The guide rod is specific. The spring is the same. Because the spring is the same and the length where the spring sits in the gun is a longer space, the spring is preloaded(compressed while in battery) less. That's why most people find that for the Gen 5 guns, they need one wieght higher than in previous gens. This is too ensure complete in battery lock up.
  17. It's my understanding that springs are sometimes shorter or longer depending on wieght and manufacturer. I've seen heavier springs be shorter than lighter ones by the same company even when both were new. I wouldn't worry about it. FWIW, I run the same set up and it's been !
  18. Hancho looks cool AF to me. The barrel design, regardless of who did it first, looks like a winner for this game! I wonder if that's how they get their price down so low? It's crazy when you think about how much others charge for just a sight block limited gun! Or just a limited gun with plastic grip!
  19. If it works, and is not dangerous, no need to make changes. Shortening the OAL increases pressure. If you're loading and the tested load was at a longer OAL and you go shorter, you could be getting close to a dangerous situation. A good rule of thumb would be to load longer if you can. You'll need to test the finished round (or dummy round) in your mags and in your barrel to see how long you can go. For most loads, there's no reason to go over the max OAL for a round. For instance, 1.169" for 9mm. I try to load around 1.150" for 9mm. That way if I get one that's a little longer it's not over max OAL. You'll want to chrono to see where you're at.
  20. No. Those were 125 gr. I'm loading everglade plated 124/147 the 147's seem to be the most accurate load. The plated bullets can go out past 1.150" due to the profile. I've never found any after market barrel to be as accurate as the OEM. I can shoot 3" groups off hand at 25 yds with the OEM barrel.
  21. My first DPP has about 10k on it. I'm afraid to change the battery. Ha. It's only a matter of time. I have 2 currently and I'm looking to pick up another one or two. Back up for my back up.
