5. i love aa#7, as benny told me to use, when he built my gun. i had to quit using the powder because it fouled my dillon 650 charge bar up big time. i swiched to imr 7625. lynn jones ps benny, do you have time to build me another gun?
6. big dave, at our club http://www.memphis-ssa.com we shoot six stages in three large berm areas. we use one of the stages as a rifle or shotgun side match. we also shoot twice a month. the schedule usually runs like this: 1. 8:30-11:00 am set-up time for the stages. several shooter set the stages up. 2. 10:30-11:00 am sign-in 3. 11:00 am walk through..everyone walks all the stages and are verbablly inform of the stage procedure. 4. after the walk through, we split into 3 squads, one for each of the berm areas, this keep a free stage open to act a buffer from the other squads. if there is an average of 25 shooters, where usually finished by 3:00 pm. those who wish to shoot the side rifle/shotgun match do so then. 5. there is a second run through for people that want to shoot a second gun. the usually finish around 4:00 pm 6. when the second gun is finished, those people pull the targets off the target stands. that's all the clean up we have to do because the range is private and is locked down at night. 7. i do the scoring on mondays and have it posted on the web site before noon. this system works great for our club. and many of the clubs around the mid-south. we have trained, by example, our members that everyone ro's, tapes, picks brass, resets targets, and scores, except if their on deck. this system was the replacement of a system where there was one person who set the stage up, ro'd everyone through the stage, then he would go the other stages. then he would break down the stage. and you know how they shot, don't you. lynn jones
7. That's why i like Dogs! lynn
8. say good bye to "c" class. lynn
9. just a thought... are you locking your arms out? try breaking at the elbows. lynn jones
10. most of the time the "club member" or non certified RO just picks up bad habits from lazy "real RO's" or from club level matches. i think this is where have a USPSA RO class frequently in a USPSA sectoh is a good idea. and yes, my club needs a class. lynn jones
11. how often do you get the wrong range commands at a major match? and does it bother you? do you correct the RO? lynn (no!, the "shooter" is not ready) jones

15. patrick, i like the strap-on outside. easy on, off. i use roller blade pads. you can get a set of elbow, knee, and wrist pads for under $20. the pads have a hard plastic guard on them, too. this helps with pointy rocks! ouch! and please don't take up roller blading! toss the wrist pads. lynn (Edited by lynn jones at 9:26 am on Feb. 13, 2003)
16. those carts are about $300, shotgunners, and 3 gunners use them. i got a garden cart from Lowe's home improvement for $75.00. it saved Team Memphis at Area 3 last year. if there is a Costco in your area, they sell the same cart for $65.00, at least in Memphis. if your still interested in the fancy cart, i can find the url. good luck, lynn jones
17. kevin, i bought mine on sale at http://www.botachtactical.com/ they still have plenty, i believe. i would like to find a zipper attacment for the boot. putting them on and off is a hassel. lynn
18. solidsnake, see this rule: 9.2.2.1 “Virginia Count” The total scores (minus penalties) divided by the total time. The number of rounds is fixed and time stops on the last shot. Only paper targets may be used. Virginia count may be used only for standard exercises, short courses and classifiers and may not be used in Level IV or higher competitions. this is the new way of scoring VC courses. this was changed so you'd not get penalized twice for making up a shot on steel. i.e. the steel is only worth 5pts, VC -10 pt for the miss, -10 pts for a extra shot. the miss would be hard to keep up with also. hope this helps. lynn
19. ERIK, i think side saddles are a little different. the shotgun shells don't appear to be in the "in the gun" the redi-mag does. i'd still like to see some offical ruling. as a cro i' d like to see a clean area. lynn
20. can you keep a loaded mag in the redi-mag carrier while not on the line ready to shoot? i did a search, but came up lame. any ideas? i did a search but didn't find anything. lynn jones
21. i use 5.8gr of winchester super field wiith the 180 gr montana gold bullet. really nice load. lynn jones
