  1. xcount, that's about 10 cents worth.
  2. hey guys, if we eliminate Popper Calibration as part of our sport, what will be the procedure if a pepper popper won't go down because the "set bolt" backs out (not ffpp). Range malfunction? re-shoot? probably.
  3. vince, how would a RO or anyone else tell the difference between the 9mm and .40 magazine? inventory check list at registration? lynn
  4. i got a question. isn't most luggage locks very similar? i have on key for all my samsonite luggage and aren't these keys readly avalible? i'm sure if the thieves have the keys so can the luggage inspectors. so i will probably lock my luggage when i fly. lynn jones
  5. i like pro grip. in the south during summer time, everyone sweats big time. also, if you get oil on your hands the pro grip takes care of that as well. this is why i use pro grip in the winter. if you don't like pro grip, try using a alcohol swabs. they work, but you have to use them at each stage. good luck, lynn jones
  6. our club has converted a half a dozen pepper poppers to forward falling pepper poppers. the forward falling pps need no calibration. this makes the problem go away. i think the rules committee should include the ffpp design in the rule book as an alternative to the regular pp design. brian, the first ffpps i every saw/shot was at rio salado desert classic. i think they are about 10 years old now. please talk to those guys and get them to replace them with new ones. as a matter of fact, all the steel at that range needs replacing. ) ) ) lynn jones (Edited by lynn jones at 7:37 am on Jan. 14, 2003)
  7. jon and phil, all i'm saying, if it's a safety issue, then it sould be a DQ if a violation occurs. the two charge lines thought is idea i can live with. phil, when you shot the steel at 2 yards, were you scared? i'd be. lynn
  8. brian and phil, the problem with just a penalty and not a DQ for the violation is that the Shooter, RO and fans are exposed to the hazard of bullet splatter, etc. granted, there is little chance anyone would be injured, but normally when someone breaks the 180 (90) no one is injured either. the potenital for injury lies with splatter off a pepper popper than breaking the 180. btw. i'm talking 91'ish degrees, not 95'ish. lynn jones
  9. hey vince, after thinking about this for a while, since the previous posts. i think my views are leaning towards "noname's" response. if it is safety issue, it should be a DQ, a match DQ not a Stage DQ.
  10. rich & erik, if you saw wood fly off a target stand, you still wouldn't shoot it again? did you forget about that little space beyond the dotted line? lynn
  11. a buddy of mine shot a match last sunday, his shots were deflected into a "no shoot" 4 times!!! he was not happy. lynn jones
  12. cost drives shooters away? you have got to be joking! ipsc is one of the cheapest sports and hobbies around. do the math compared to golf, skeet, trap, and sporting clays you have to pay to practice. that runs your cost way beyond shooting pistols. lynn jones

  16. i use a ghost holster. i love it. i went to http://www.ghostholster.com and did see anything about a super ghost holster. lynn jones
  17. t2, if it don't stink, don't stir it! all my single hole doubles are doubles, just ask anyone that shoots with me. it's the targets that don't have any holes in them, that is hard to explain. i was thinking the same thing about jeff cooper as i was reading the thread. don't get him p*ssed off. he may join that devil sport "idpa", can't have that. lynn jones
  18. can anyone say, "clear plastic, lockable gun case"? or "steal my gun please?"
  19. gm iprod, must have been those pesky aussies rooting around in your yard. i've seen them on the aussie forum. they put holes everywhere. usually, it's piles. lynn jones (Edited by lynn jones at 3:09 pm on Jan. 1, 2003)
  20. sig lady, i believe only one is requried . anyway good luck. you didn't mention anything about not using colored fonts. (watch out ericw will edit you). my goals are simple, make master in limited and limited 10. he he lynn jones (Edited by lynn jones at 3:04 pm on Jan. 1, 2003)
  21. vince, you old guys (3qt) know about frank sinatra, right? i don't think he would like being referred to as "the chair person" do you? lynn jones (Edited by lynn jones at 2:53 pm on Jan. 1, 2003)
  22. hey travis, we are currently using both, why just use the one what you want too? what about the regular pepper popper? have you tought about that? i don't want to be limited with our target selection. those turtles are hard enough to shoot, their like what 80% of the metric? with hard cover and no shoots added, pure hell. just my thoughts. lynn jones
  23. look sig lady, i can do it too! (Edited by lynn jones at 3:22 pm on Dec. 29, 2002)
