  1. Thanks for making my point Flex! Glad to hear MV might do something about it. I know when the COF starts, BUT some bloke who is new and gets his rulebook and goes to a big match might not if he just read the rulebook. I am done RANTING now
  2. It's ok I am just simple minded so I like simple solutions. All that extra mag, reload 1, put in pocket do a double backflip stuff is to tricky for me to RO
  3. Why jump through those hoops, just fix the rule. 10 +1 in the gun at the start signal max. Is that too simple?
  4. If the you bump me before you say "shooter ready" and the buzzer sounds are you going to give me a reshoot? I am shooting L10 and I was walking to the line (all mags 10 rounds) stripping 1 round, pulling the mag and putting 1 more round in it (all my mags hold 19/20) I technically did the exact same thing. That mag had 11 rounds in it after the LAMR, but was in compliance with 10 +1. Do you bump me too? 8.3.4 "start signal" - The signal to start the course of fire. Once again for those of you who can't read your rulebook, he had 10 +1 when he started the COF (course of fire) as the rulebook states (twice 8.3.1). Simple enough. If only common sense was common
  5. Lynn, The problem with your bad analogy, is this: The rule book states that the stage begins after LAMR AND after the buzzer sounds. Thus if you strip one from the 11 round mag you comply with one and not the other. Thus according to the rulebook you are NOT speeding if you use the rule that says the COF starts after the buzzer. The problem is not going 5 miles over the speed limit, but poorly written rules. I'll bet they would bump you if you used a 170mm striper clip with 1 round in it in limited too. Where is the common sense? Poor guy at factory nats probably was used to using the 11 technique to LAMR and spaced the "special emphasis" $600 airfare/car rental $250 hotel $150 meals $250 match fee, time off work, shooting for no score PRICELESS.
  6. Maybe I am simple minded, but can't you have 15 rounds in the mag before you start the COF? I mean what is to prevent you from stripping out 5 rounds when you step up to the line? Should that bump you into open too? So he had 11 when he stepped up to the line, big deal. He only had 10 in the mag when the COF started, ie the buzzer going off, and THAT is the rule. Someone blew it here. Petty, petty, petty. There is no difference if he pulled the mag out and put one more round in it after stoking it up, or making the mag comply with the 10 round requirement by stripping of 1 round BEFORE the course of fire started. What is the first command when you step to the line? LAMR, and you penalize the dude for making ready his mag? Lame, lame, lame. Are you going to bump someone into open if when they are loading their mags the accidentally lose count and load 11 and then empty it and start over again? Legalistically that is the same as what you did by stating at NO time can anymore than 10 rounds be in the mag. Where is the common sense here?
  7. Ed, you might try it sometime, it can be fun, just shooting to shoot. I have been shooting everyday for the last 2 weeks and last night I just went this place where people dump their trash and just walked around shooting bottles and cans and trash and it was great fun. I had some small goals, but it was sure was fun, and I even took my timer off my belt
  8. This sounds, normal to me. The feeling of speed, comes from the brain not being able to interpret the data that is being input. Once the brain gets used to the data being input at that speed it doesn't feel fast anymore. Anyways that is my theory. Thus the more you practice the, faster you see, the faster you see the slower it feels and the faster you go.
  9. Please post it if it works ~ S
  10. You could try using the force (aka fistfire) (just kidding) You must SEE to BE
  11. I think it comes down to how long your fingers are and what works best for you. I use more of the tip of my finger, I can feel the trigger better that way, but I don't have long fingers either.
  12. Sorry, I was referring to the "fit and function" I have owned a Tangfolio and P9 and they aren't interchangable, but pretty dang close. My Tangfolio was nicer, but then again the smith that made it did a great job. My only complaints are the mags. They aren't as strong as I would like.
  13. WTG!!! Cool clips, now when is that M card coming?
  14. They are the same thing, just different names Springfield used to make a Tangfolio under the name P9. Eric G uses one and they are very ergonomic.
  15. I'm with Ong45 I am finding in getting back into shooting limited that the more I see, the faster I go. Even on the hoser stages. I started off shooting my index on close targets, but shooting my vision seems to be faster (according to the timer)
  16. Team Sand Captain needs a new name after that performance, how about Team Sand Baggin'
  17. If they are going to putt usp poppers at 220 yards with hardcover in front and make you shoot it Virginia count (ie. Area 1 3-Gun) heck ya put scopes on the blasters. If you are going to keep the ditances/target sizes reasonable for average shooters, then scopes are necessary. I think that when 80% or so of the limited shooters score less than 35% on a stage something is amiss. Sure some guys can hit them, but only expert shooters can do that type of shooting. How many people would not chose optics on 200-300 yard shots if they "had" to hit the targets (ie "real world") I sure as heckk would pop a scope on.
  18. That sucks for me, I have loved the work you have done on my pistols. Who would you recomend in the business that is as good as you guys for future projects?
  19. How boring. I would rather have all the stages be suprise than standing and shooting plates, I do that in practice. I want something that challenges my mind, as well as my shooting. I just love/hate those tricky memory stages those who can shoot under the pressure of not knowing what to expect are truly the greatest shooters in my book.
  20. Moo Duk Kwan System, I got pretty close, but the symbol I found was the same but had the circle on the inside of the cranes (similiar to the one on the cover of the Hagakure) So the Ghost Dog is a Moo Duk Kwan disciple?
