  1. Why don't you try it and find out? Maybe you would get a new card.
  2. Or the other way around too. My L10 is higher than my L, but they should be the same.
  3. I think a lot of it depends on how many classifiers you shoot, I only get to shoot about 8-12 per year per gun, so moving in classes is a long process.
  4. I think it would be hardest, and most frustrating on entry level shooters. I could care less as a M, because I worry more about A's than misses, but as a begining shooter it could be really frustrating, if you get more than a couple misses and you would pretty much zero a lot of stages. I think the scoring is fine the way it is and think people should use samller targets to make sure people can shoot strait instead of stiffer penalties. The way it is, you can afford to push the envelope of performace, and with a 25 point penalty per miss, it would be more like IDPA's scoring where speed isn't really that important.
  5. Because the LDA doesn't give you 1911 trigger pulls. I know, but I've heard that TJ's comes real close
  6. If 1911's would rule production, why doesn't the Para LDA own it? Just food for thought. I want a trigger for my Sig p226 from Bruce Gray then Grocks beware of the ugly Sig
  7. I like my weight closer to my hands, so I went with a shorter gun, to me it feels more like my limited gun as far as the balance goes. I don't know that it really matters much though, alhtough it feels like it stops quicker than when I've had longer guns.
  8. Honor is worth much more than $450 Good for you!
  9. IPSC is just dang fun, why should someone need more incentive than that As a soon to be LEO I could care less about another award for being LEO. It is not like having a badge is a disadvantage or anything, although some think all cops can't shoot and are afraid to play in IPSC. I know 4 GM LEO's and the've NEVER expressed joy over getting high LEO, high overall, now that's another story. Military, well ask Travis or Max if they care about it, I think they are after high overall too and they actually get paid to shoot should they get extra prizes too? True achievement isn't measured by a trophy on a wall.
  10. Call Dillon when you are at your press and they can help you better than we could try to explain it here.
  11. Pressure causes this. I throw cases like this in my practice bin, they tend to still work most of the time.
  12. When in doubt of doing something "tricky" run up and hose it, the crash factor is much lower.
  13. Orange, I have both but don't use the light one.
  14. What? How many people shoot revolver (16 people at nationals last year)vs. L10 (157 people at nationals last year, 66 more than in production)? If you dump a category, dump revolver and then combine production with restricted 1911's and no 2011's. If courses are 8 round neutral, hi-caps really don't make a difference, if the courses aren't 10 round neutral it does make a difference.
  15. I think that limited is easier to make master because you have to learn how to shoot correctly, whereas with open guns you can get fairly good with a lot of bad habits. To make master you can't afford to have poor habits. I got to A Class in open in 6 months and stayed there for years. Then I went to Limited 10 and in less than a year I made M, and I changed most everything about the way I shot. With limited I really had to focus on the fundamentals of shooting and this made it easier for me to improve in Limited.
  16. The heavy is much lighter feeling than a 14lb spring. It has two springs in it and you can't change the inside one. It may feel wierd, but mine has work fine for about 45k and it feels about the same as when I got the gun. They say you never need to replace the spring on the RM as some people suposedly have 100k+ rounds on them.
  17. The BATF doesn't care about building mags. They know the law is insane and they spend no money to enforce it.
  18. www.brassmanbrass.com I've had good luck from there when I wanted once fired.
  19. You will have to do some grinding to make them work if you have a mag well. I've done the same and after modifying the base pad they work fine.
  20. SVI - Their logo is cooler Cost for each is about the same with the same options, you have to compare apples to apples.
  21. ROFL, dang that was right on as an Oregonian for 33 years.
