  1. You can put bigger wheels in it. I use one for bigger matches. A place to sit, a umbrella holder (for rain or shade) and a shelf for reloading your mags, and no worrying about weight. For 3 gun you can carry a rifle and shotgun on either side. The Shooters Connection bag is worth the extra $$$.
  2. We both know it isn't your sight You hit things just fine when you go the right speed for you and you don't jerk the trigger, "superman." The sooner you ditch that skinny sight then sooner you will have one less thing to worry about holding you back.
  3. I hear you loud and clear, one of the better posts I've seen in awhile.
  4. Glad you didn't burn those eyelashes off
  5. I like my KKM tungsten barrel, Wil makes great barrels also.
  6. Yep, that's what I'm saying. If I know I can get away with it, I will try and at the wrong times. I shoot much better, waiting to see the second shot. Double taps are evil and they slow down my transitions.
  7. Nope. Using the force is just a bad habit that will cause you pain. I have a setup that I can rip .14's-15's and have them snakeye. I don't use it. Renforceing my bad habits isn't what I want to do. A lighter spring will bring up the shot.
  8. I like the way you think Jack, I was thinking the exact same thing.
  9. It's an open invitiation to do the wrong thing by accident. Obviously, the onus is upon the shooter to remain safe at all times. OK, if I was shooting this match I would have objected to the opening of he doors with my gun, but I don't think it is a safety issue. I agree, it is the resposibility of the shooter to make sure they address all the obsticals in a manner that is safe. That is part of the fun. I would hate to see more vanilla stages. The only dangerous thing I saw was sticking the comped gun in that last barrel That hurts, were you ok after that Sniper? I cringed just watching it Nice strong hand shooting, especialy with all the jams, it isn't easy keeping focus when that happens.
  10. Rain isn't anything. Single digit temperaures are much worse Stand cap are nice if you are somewhere it rains often, I do hate shooting partial targets though bags.
  11. At local matches I'll generally score my targets. At bigger matches I just shoot and have someone I trust make sure the scoring is correct. I agree with Jack, you can learn a lot from observing where your hits are. At big matches it is what it is so I don't bother paying attention to what Ive already done, I just focus on the next stage. In practice I generally shoot the centers out of my targets and only tape non A's, but do make sure to shoot clean targets every once and awhile to make sure I am calling my shots acurately. I can't even come close to scoring my targets while I shoot during a match, I guess for me there are so many partials I have a "go no go guage" as far as my shots go. I generally shoot good points, but I am not overly precise when shooting. I know from practice what is acceptable for each type of target. For me it happens too fast to recall where the shots went on each target, but I sure as heck know when I broke a bad shot and make up for it immediately. This all happens in the non thinking part of my brian so I don't recall a lot of it. The less I think, the better I do, go figure.
  12. They go together. Get some spare springs (10 pack) and your set for a long time.
  13. Prudy, nice thumbreaker you have on there too
  14. Oregon Section Website Bend Club You can shoot a match about every weekend if you want
  15. EZWin Score makes them for you You might call Sedro to get a copy if you don't have it already.
  16. You mean my new wiz bang AR that is fluted isn't better than my mil spec barrel? Dang!!! It sure does look cool though
  17. You always say that, but it is so true. REPOSTED from another thread (cause I'm lazy) 5 vs 6 - Heavy vs Light - Fiber Optic vs Standard Sight - Short Open vs Long Open I've tried all of these and NONE of them seem to make ANY difference in my scores. Yes, some are more comfortable, less violent, ect., but MY times and points don't change. I can shoot as accurately with my Sig P226 as my wiz bang limited gun. I can shoot as fast with a light gun as a heavy gun (or long versus short for open.) The guns I have are the result of trying a lot of guns out and taking what I like best and making what I want. Do they make me shoot any better, nope. That is not subjective, I've put it to the timer. Everthing has it's trade off's. I went back to shooting limited because I knew that shooting open I could get away with doing things wrong and in limited you can't "cheat" your technique and perform as well. It had taught me a lot, most of all it taught me that as long as your gun groups, is 100% reliable, has a decent trigger, and likes to eat bullets and be dry fired, it won't be what holds you back. Now cool factor, that's a whole different story... ... there is no accounting for taste. As for which is best, whichever one convinces you to play with it most
  18. I sent you an email, let me know if you don't get it. DVC ~ Scott
  19. Thanks for the kind words. Thanks for coming down and giving it a go. It was great to see the improvement all around. Keep those shots under control, your movements with purpose, and forget about being fast and you'll go a long ways. Look out Northern Idaho, you have a new IPSC contender in the making ps. That skatebord tape can be a b*tch after a thousand rounds or so and the Michael Jackson one glove look went out a loooonnnnggg time ago I hope it heals fast DVC ~ Scott
  20. Dang near the same as a clean run (60 points) in 5 seconds, 12.4
  21. Dang all this 3 sec el Prez talk made me go out and see how bad I suck. 4.03 and all my hits Dang, I suck. I only did 2 runs I was so discouraged. I think I'll go back to all A hits and be slow 3 seconds will rock, even if you don't hit them all.
