9-11-01 Movie Trailer Too Upsetting
Liota replied to North's topic in Miscellaneous Topics That Do Not Fit in Any Other Forum
Yes...it is. SPC Richard A. White, Senior Medic 294th MP Detachment (EACF) Camp Humphreys, ROK 3 months left in the ROK and then Fort Bragg!!! Back to the Real Army!!! Rich, We have to get together before you leave here. Come on over for a visit one day or at least give me directions to Humphreys. Are you planning to shoot A4 this year? If so, I will be there. Viggen, The time passes quickly. I feel like I just got off the plane. It's been nearly 90 days already. May the Lt Col, USAF, Ret. lose her retirement check. What she's done is unthinkable. She's put her own bretheren in more danger. How lost is she? Liota -
Wish I was there, too!!! This is the first April Ladies' Camp I've missed. Arrgggghhh!!!! Liota

Darn it, Cullen! I'm getting tired of cleaning the spit off my monitor. Keep it up! That was great! I'm not a great fan of this remake. It did nothing for me, except nauseate. Liota

I realized now why I posted in the hate thread. I'm just jealous because I don't get to shoot. Liota

I'm with you. Not looking forward to the sun going down near midnight and coming back up at 3 a.m. Liota

Hey, Dale! You think we can talk her into IPSC after that? Liota

Sometimes hot brass down the front of the shirt will help your shooting. You go much faster and your focus narrows considerably. Both stages were among my best. The RO said, "I was wondering if you were going to dig for the brass or keep shooting." Nasty little red mark on my boobs, though. L

People like Eerw and Eric Wesselman are one of the main reasons I like this sport. I've had a fellow shooter, Beth Wingfield, literally give me the shirt of her back at a match. Benny and too many others to mention have loaned me guns, ammunition, and everything else under the sun. I only wish there was something I could do to repay them. Liota

Your son is very talented. The lamp is gorgeous. Like Shred said, his career choice, although out of the ordinary (cool factor multiplier), is rare and potentially very lucrative. Not many people have the patience to blow glass anymore. Liota

You guys have been most helpful. Keep them coming. I will provide an answer to the commander this morning. I feel sure he will ask again. It will make a record 24 hours of talking about platypuses. The funny part about it is that I was not not not not not going to that search on the internet yesterday morning. I told the Lt sitting next to me that I wasn't. She told me that he, the commander, would. I lasted less than half an hour, most of that en route to a meeting that was rescheduled. Stump, I will pass the question along. He should appreciate it. He's a pilot. Liota

Eric, It appears that you are a fence-piddler. You know the old one about those who learn from watching others piddle on the electric fence. Then there are those who have to piddle on the fence themselves. Liota says, "Surely I won't get the same result." Yup, a fellow fence-piddler. Liota

Dusty, The Glock will make your brass a little funny. You will need to roll-size it if you want to reload it. Once you shoot it in a different gun, you can process normally, without necessarily roll-sizing. The brass is definitely not ruined. Wakal and I have a bunch of .40 reloads with previously Glocked brass. Liota

Bill, Quit your whining. Your wife wisely bought you a Perazzi. She KNEW it would be less expensive in the long run. Give her a hug for me. I'm lazy and don't write. It doesn't mean I don't miss you guys. Liota

Kath, You've done all the right things. Keep taking the meds the doc gave you. What's probably making you nauseous is the mucous flowing down the back of your throat. It will make your throat sore and can also, in sufficient quantities, make you nauseous. Drink a whole metric buttload of fluids. The extra water will thin out the mucous along with helping you to stay hydrated while you are taking the decongestants. You also need to get plenty of rest. Your body needs time to heal. Relax and let your hubby wait on you a little bit. It will do you wonders. Sleep is also your friend. It helps a lot. Your recovery time will also depend on your antibiotic. Sometimes the recovery is slow. Sometimes it's nothing short of miraculous. You might want to discuss expectations with your doc, if you haven't already. Get to feeling better. Liota

Kath, Here's what you need to do. 1. Take some decongestants. They will reduce the amount of pressure on the inside of your eardrum. That will decrease the full feeling and dizziness. DRINK A LOT OF WATER. You might also want to drink some chicken boullion or broth. Broth is better, but the boullion will do. Although it seems a bit of a cliche, it does help. It also tastes a heck of a lot better than gargling with salt water. Drink other hot, non-caffienated beverages. 2. Go see your doctor about some antibiotics. That will clear up the infection and, subsequently, the irritation. 3. Take all of the antibiotics. Make sure the infection is gone. You may end up taking some Prednizone or other steroid to help with the inner ear, balance and probably a touch of vertigo. If these don't help, then go see your doctor again for a referral to an otolaryngologist. I got an ear infection so bad I couldn't walk down the hallway without falling over. It sucked. The steps above helped. Liota

How Do You Cart All Your 3 Gun Gear Around?
Liota replied to PistolPete's topic in Multi-gun Gear & Accessories
There's a bunch of miscreants out of West Texas who use a four-wheeler and a trailer. The trailer has long gun racks across the back to accomodate the 3-gun needs of at least five people. At the end of the match, drive the four-wheeler up onto the trailer and haul it home. It works like a charm. Liota -

Smm 3 Gun Match

Guys, The weather situation is just terrible. It seems funny, though, because last year the weather was wonderful. A little chilly in the morning and then fairly hot in the afternoon. Wow! I am living vicariously through you guys, so have fun for me. Liota -
Ira, PM in your inbox. Thanks, Liota
