  1. An extra big stick is nice when you are last on this stage and first on the next. It also is nice when shooting at dirty/sandy ranges so you aren't cleaning mags every stage.
  2. I think BarSto does a small run once a year
  3. AAA .355 super is good stuff. I also run their .40, major, minor, and long. I have never ever had an ammunition related malfunction. The customer service is awesome too. They got an order wrong once and I ended up with 500 rnds of ammo free.
  4. I have this charbroil , it is freakin great. I will never buy a cheap grill again
  5. I know how you feel. 23 Years ago a table saw got my left middle finger between the first and second joint. The end joints on my ring and pointer move only a little now. There are advantages to it. Sometimes it helps with communication. I left work today at 3:30 I'll spare you the nose trick. My prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.
  6. I have come to the conclusion that there are two kinds of people when it comes to shock buffs. Those that have had them fail and those that someday probably will. I changed camps today.
  7. I thought Flipper was going to be an issue. It was quite easy to lean out and take the targets behind the swinging no-shoot from the port before you get there, then hit the activator and clamshell. My squad never had to deal with it.
  8. This was my third time working the NC Sectional (twice at Ant Hill) My daughters second. We plan on doing it every year we can. As always, had a great time. It's a lot of work, but ROing a big match is almost as much fun as shooting it. All the stages were great. Well, I didn't completely enjoy Tombstone. Note to self, try not to finish on a 100% memory stage. Didn't have much memory left when we got there. I think I did ok all in all.
  9. Make sure the "mushrooms" pull in snug. End play will reduce it's life.
  10. I hit "save current location" while turning in their drive and got 3099 Southport Supply Rd SE
  11. Fido, best zombie movie ever. I love the schoolkids singing "In the brains, not the chest. Headshots are the very best"
  12. Mechanical engineer at a pharmaceutical diagnostics manufacturer. Design/build automated equipment. I make guns in my spare time.
  13. of course you can, it isstill a free country. one of my home builts
  14. I have been a mechanical engineer/toolmaker/machinist for the last 20+ years. I have always been a gun tinkerer. A couple years ago I finally set up a machine shop at home and immediately started making guns. That was around the same time I started shooting USPSA. I made all the guns I compete with. I assembled them on receivers that I cut from bar stock. I just finished an aluminum upper for my MKII to run rimfire steel. Shooting sports are rewarding, but doing it with something you crafted yourself makes it all the more sweet.
  15. 39 first run... and hadn't read thread/didn't know what to do till the second set of numbers
  16. Not suppressed but I think it's cool I just finished making an aluminum upper for my old MKII.
  17. I never work more than a couple days in December.
  18. That is a great article. I’d not have expected such a positive USPSA story in the N&O. How’s the hamstring?
  19. I forgot to mention that I am just a C class shooter limited and after one more classifier I'll be C class in open as well.
  20. My second ever steel match (local monthly 30-40 shooters) and I had the fastest time overall... OK, I was shooting rimfire open. I was still pretty pleased about it, then I looked at the archived results from this whole year. I had the fastest time all year.
  21. I have a USPSA sticker and one that says "Proud parent of a USPSA Lady/Junior"
