  1. Can someone check their CED charger and tell me what the output volts/amps are?
  2. I slotted the end of a 1/4" dowel to fit over the front sight, then squished it into a channel cut in a board.
  3. +1 The firing pin stop has way more to do with slide speed on opening than the recoil spring. The recoil spring will change the feel of the slide closing, nosedive, etc. For what it's worth mine runs 100% with a 14# but will occasionally jam with a 12# or less. Power factor does not change it either. I sometimes run minor for IDPA with the same results. This is with a bushing bbl, a bull bbl will usually want a little less.
  4. This was our first trip to Ant Hill. My daughter and I shot on Friday and RO'd Sat & Sun. What a beautiful range. The match was great and the weather was perfect. Had a great time.
  5. I have no experience with them but I have never heard anyone not liking their ShumaTech DRO I bought my DRO from SMW-Precision on Ebay (Website). The guy really stands behind his stuff.
  6. Kids in the schoolyard singing "In the brain and not the chest, head shots are the very best!" Fido, best Zombie movie ever Roddy Piper with 12 gauge enters a bank full of aliens, "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.. and I am all out of bubblegum." They Live
  7. I forgot to mention, it does run. The dot tracks better than any I've shot (3 counting this one) Once I finally got it to eject without hitting the scope, it has been 100%
  8. Generally speaking the lathe part will be fine. The mill will drive you crazy. Get two machines.
  9. radley, I'm not sure you are still shooting your Glock, but my offer stands. I'll bring you my Manson 9mm reamer any time to borrow.
  10. You are going to have some fun now Congrats on the cool new toy!
  11. I started shooting USPSA a little over a year ago at 41. I honestly don't think my eyes will ever let me get past C class Limited. I have tried several different prescriptions. The only one that keeps me focused on the front sight blurs even the closest target badly. I do best with my normal glasses and deal with the suck. I just finished building an open gun. I have yet to shoot a match with it but after running 300 rnds through it this weekend, I have really high hopes. I don't even care if it speeds me up so long as I can get back to shooting clean and calling shots.

    New blaster

I duracoated my limited gun and it has held up well. The rails still have about 50% of the finish and the exterior has far less wear than you'd see on a blue gun (has a stainless slide). My magwell is a Dawson Ice. Caspian Slide, Cylinder & Slide FCG, Brown beavertail, guide rod & extractor, Briley reverse plug, Clark barrel, EGW ejector & titanium strut, Dlask trigger (very light but a pita to fit), homemade comp, racker and receiver.

    New blaster

I just finished building my first open gun. I am unsure what finish I will end up going with, for now I’m just going to Duracoat it. Any assistance deciding what color(s) to use would be greatly appreciated.
  14. If I recall correctly they are an exact copy of a bridgeport. Had several in school. I THINK parts interchange. Quality was marginally less than a Bridgeport in an abusive tech school environment.
  15. There is no real need to pin the ejector. It is fully captured when the slide is on. This will make swapping them out far easier if the need should arise again. My limited gun is not pinned and it has never caused a problem. I did find a problem in the open gun I just finnished. While the mag does not hit the ejector the top round really does. It was putting a groove in the brass and pushing up on the ejector making it rub in the slide. I beveled the offending corner to make it clear.
  16. I am currently building one. Homeade reciever & comp, Caspian slide, C-More Serindipity, Cyl & Slide/EGW internals, Brown safeties, etc. When it's done I'll have about $1000 in the gun, about $1800 including mags, CR speed rig, and bbl lug cutter/tools. A friend with a C&R ordered all my parts at dealer cost. (Thanks again dude!) With a fair amount of sweat equity, it can be done.
  17. How many stainless spacers did you want? It'll be a couple weeks, but I'll hook you up.
  18. I don't have that exaxct spring, but I'll look through my collection and see if I have something suitable. If I come up with something I'll bring it Tuesday night.
