Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Not bad at all for a Classifier match. The boat stage was great. It looked like there were a lot of IDPA guys crossing over. Great job on the match Dean, and congrats on earning that GM card.
  2. +1 for a rimfire subforum. I have taken a rather long break from centerfire competition. I still shoot the rimfire match at Caswell Ranch. The East coast regional was a blast!
  3. Duracoat holds up fairly well. My Parker green 2011 frame was done 3 years ago and only shows some holster wear.
  4. Will it unlock? If not you are gonna need to drill thru the slide stop to get the lever off. Then you can remove the slide stop's pin. Rotating the bushing is the next trick. I have seen this before. My kaboom

    Ruger Mark II

Here is one I made about 20 years ago Along with some grip mods
  6. I shot Deans first Ruger match last Saturday. It was wicked cold but had a blast. Two of my daughters are planning to go next time, one of which has I've never been able to get interested in competition. I'll work on the wife next. This seems to be a great platform for introducing new shooters as well as rewarding for the more experienced speed demons.
  7. Made mine out of 14 gauge stainless. They measure .075" thick. Mags run 100%
  8. Nothing more rewarding than competing with something you crafted yourself. Keep up the good work
  9. 100% of the first bullet's jacket was still in the barrel. The second bullet was inside it, almost went through it, with the separate base part stuck to it's nose. There was lead extruded through the cracks. If it was a bit of jacket left inside, it was from the one before the supposed squib. There was no evidence of it.
  10. I was done at my local club. Reloading time was something of a hassle. It was suggested that if anyone wanted to do it again, they should bring 5 guns.
  11. I forgot to update this. It lives again. Tight, accurate, and runs 100%
  12. All fixed. The slide had only bowed out .010". A little squeeze in the mill vice and it is within a half thou. I think I like the Kart EZ fit barrels. Super easy and it locks up like a bank vault. The pre-fitted bushing it came with was perfect. If I don't get to shoot it this weekend I will next Tuesday night. Range report to follow... I could not find my bushing wrench... Made this from a scrap piece of brass.
  13. Not a Glock, but I imagine the result would be similar: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...c=93382&hl=
