  1. I just got my first USPSA classification, B in SingleStack. As good a place to start as any.
  2. I understand the frustration. I've been dinged a few times for opening a revo cylinder before reaching cover, even when I didn't.
  3. My 3rd gen met a similar demise. On the bright side, the new 120gig Ipod classic is pretty awesome. I have watched 3 movies on it without recharging.
  4. I'm chasing you now, D, and I have a hot iron. I expect to see your best game.
  5. If the fiber rod is melted slightly at BOTH ends, it's not likely to ever come out unless you physically break the rod by banging the sight on a prop, barricade, etc. Epoxy, glue, silicone etc, all can "let go" at the worst possible time. editied to add photo of EGW fiber optic front sight that I've drilled out, on my gun.
  6. Replacing the stock barrel in my G34 with one from KKM helped accuracy tremendously.
  7. Do you drill it out from the front or the back? I did it from the back with the sight removed from the side and held in a soft jawed vice. Small bit, go slow. The metal is soft and it only takes a few seconds. As far as it being an advantage to go to all black instead of a hole if the rod flies out during a stage, I've never had this happen when the rod was installed properly to begin with.
  8. I drill out the front. It's the easiest thing to do and makes all future rod changes painless.
  9. Are all the roundgunners getting on the SS bandwagon?
  10. At the end of the story, it says that it's common for snakes to get into mailboxes when the ground is wet.
  11. Ack! I thought that SingleStack was about the gun, not what you were doing with it. It won't happen again.
  12. I shot my 3rd USPSA match a couple weekends ago using my Norinco parts gun and 10rd Wilson mags in L10. It worked well and I had a helluva good time. I love my singlestacks. Gary
  13. I don't watch a lot of TV but caught this jewel Sunday evening and laughed harder than I have in a very long time. It's surprising that I didn't crack a rib or something. If you missed it, watch it here: http://www.hulu.com/watch/37768/family-guy-i-dream-of-jesus
  14. Welcome to wheelgun world. It's a lot of fun for sure. I like the first vid, you could find your way home by following the bread crumbs, err moonclips.
  15. If the guy had actually used the gun to hurt someone, that's one thing. In this case, the gun actually helped the state take out the trash, instead of simply arresting the trash. Shoot that thing, don't even give it another thought.
  16. I'm watching over-the-air dtv and the commercial volume thing is really pissing me off. I can be on the oppositie side of the house and all of the sudden I hear somebody shouting about laxatives or that not-so-fresh feeling.
  17. I breathe normally, unless I'm taking a 50+ yard shot, then I don't breathe until the shot breaks.
  18. At my very first IDPA match, one of the props was a cabbage patch type doll, which the club refers to as "baby dies-a-lot". While seated at "changing table" holding baby dies-a-lot's feet in both hands, at the buzzer, draw and shoot two threat targets directly across from the table. Then, pick up the baby and run to a barrel. On knees, using thr barrel for cover, engage a few more threat targets strong hand only while protecting the baby. At the buzzer, I draw, engage the threat targets and take off running towards the barrel. About 20 people simultaneously shout YOU FORGOT THE BABY! Run back, get baby, finish the stage.
  19. I'm not a Sig person, but WOW! That is one HOT blaster!
  20. I'll be having nightmares tonight, thank you very much.
