  1. Welcome. There is a lot of information here. George
  2. Welcome. This is a great place. George
  3. I would like to see the 50 round assessment if you would post it. thanks, George My shooting has lapsed for a few months with work, etc. and as I get back to practicing I am finding one longer session is better than 2 or 3 shorter sessions for me.
  4. That is a strong program. It will be interesting to track the results. For myself I have found the use of the .22 conversion kit limited. ( and I own 4 of them ). I now use it mostly for draw-fire one, to help get the sight picture. I was sure the conversion kit was going to help more than it has. What it did for me was make me lazy with my support hand. I have also decided that shooting is like golf. I used to practice driving a lot. You use the driver maybe 14-15 times in a round, but you putt 2 or 3 times per hole X 18 holes. Maybe I should practice putting? Now I practice mag changes more. Mag change and get the sight picture again after the change. Good luck and keep us posted. George
  5. My wife and I were Vendors. ( custom mouled earplugs ) and we did not see much of the match, but we heard everything. Vendors are invisible you know. This was a wonderful match. Friendly people, very little complaining, lots of nice things said about everything. The awards and price table were the smoothest I have ever seen. We were done and gone 3 hours earlier than I told my wife. Great job and congratulations to the entire staff. George & Barb
  6. Over 5000 for sure. I counted once and it was less than 6000 but way over 5000. ( I counted with primers ) George

    Hello

Hello and welcome to the forum. It is a great place to gather information. I am just starting to get into 3 gun also. George
  8. Welcome. There is a lot of information here. George
  9. I have tried just about all of the above. My problem is that I am right handed and left eye dominent, so I close my left eye ( or squint really tight ) and that does not work with a lot of these systems. After spending a ton of $$ on glasses, contacts, etc. what I have done is: for iron sights I have gone to a wider opening on the rear sight and a fiber optic ( small ) on the front sight. The bigger opening on the rear helps a bunch. for USPSA I have gone to OPEN with a C-more red dot. I really like my red dot...works with an AIMPOINT on my carbine also. hope this helps, George
  10. I think you did great. Don't try to fix everything this afternoon. Pick one thing and work on it and have fun. There is a lot of information here on the forum and I would probably work on the 2nd shot. PS: Make lots of bullets. George
  11. What "throttleup" said. It is a team effort, a very important job. George

  13. Welcome. Lots of nice people and great information here. George
  14. I have a STI Eagle 9mm that I converted to .38 Super. I bought a used slide with barrel and comp off the USPSA forum. I had to change the ejector and have the slide fitted to the lower. It runs fine and the 9mm top still works fine on it also. Also used the same mags. thanks, George

Welcome to the forum. I agree. I would quit trying to learn everything at once. Slow down, work on the basics and have a good time. If, after awhile you seem to be stuck, get some instruction from a good trainer / instructor. Good luck and keep us posted. George
