  1. How 'bout this... http://discgolf.gottagogottathrow.com/cata...products_id/955 ..pretty cool. Jim
  2. Holy cr@p what a blaster! I'm thinking recoil spring/guide too. Not that you haven't tried this, but I would manually cycle it unloaded a bunch. I mean hundreds of times. It gives these new parts some "time" to get to know one another. Strip it, blast it with your favorite cleaner, lightly lube, put it back together and test fire. ...if this doesn't work, save yourself the frustration and give it to me.
  3. Why was the Nambu not included...WHY!? ...all of us know it would dominate. Jim
  4. Dropped by Dillon's on Friday. Bought one. Works real good. I lose mag loaders way to often. I've taken advantage of the 'lanyard loop' it has and tied it to my bag. Thanks for the eye opener. Jim
  5. Just to understand this a little better. Are you looking to work on a USPSA reload or the IDPA reload? Thanks! Jim
  6. No negative reports that I have seen. And I looked. Shooting hard cast is starting to make a lot of sense again lately. Barrels from LW look to be a solid value. Jim
  7. Looks to be very challenging. Like the website said we'll see some tweaks come game time. I'm ready to do this. How 'bout you? Jim
  8. ...seriously? A commercial grade reloading machine and "C" clamps?... Jim
  9. Confusing is putting it mildly. The best competitors in (insert sport here ) as a whole suck as instructors. Case in point, my "un-named" nephew is considered by the golf community to be in the top 1%, worldwide. Just SICK good. Honestly, the guy could no sooner teach golf than fly. Of course there are some exceptions. But very rarely. Jim

    Glock Mags

    +1 on http://www.natchezss.com I'm SURE your aware hi-cap mag. shipping restrictions...right? Jim
  11. Email Danny at Atlanta Arms . He will send price list and answer your questions. Thanks for the thread. It reminded me to order my case for the Nationals. Jim
  12. Limited 10 Nationals in Missoula <<<<<<<< Area 2 (of course) Jim

    Water Heaters!

Check with The Home Depot. Just a suggestion. They charged me around $550 for the gas heater including install. Good luck! Jim
  14. Chase, I can only reinforce what Nemo said. Shoot for good groups from the bench and freestyle say out to 35-40 yards. Take your time, feel the break. Long shots in this game can frustrate new (and old) shooters. Make distance your friend. Your in need of no additional equipment or gun work. Brian's book, Steve's book(s) and Matt's Videos...buy them. Man I wish they were available back when I started. Shoot every match you can. Observe the A, M and GM competitors. There TECHNIQUE is the difference maker. Jim
  15. Very sorry to hear it. Sounds like she had a great home.
  16. Trigger. Mine. Anything but stock is good. Sights. Warren-Sevigny Comp. Simple. No distractions. My eyes are aging. Distractions annoy me. Barrel. Stock. 'Till it wears out. Magwell. Seattle Slug. 3oz of pure inertia. Love it. When round counts start averaging 40 or more I'll re-install my 'speedy funnel'. Until then I can find the sweet spot in a stage to perform 'the' reload. Mag extensions. Dawson. I have Arredondos too. Like them. I lose the tool. Then I like them not so much. Recoil Spring and guide. Stock. Gaston got it perfect IMO. Holster, belt and pouches. CR Speed Jim

    Blind Bunny

Optional ending.. umm soft, cold, slippery and no balls.. ahh, your a politician. Jim
  18. I'm now a "B" shooter in L10. I plan on shooting Limited after the Nationals. (maybe sooner) My warped sense of logic says L10 is a bit more difficult, due to the number of reloads. Why am I unclassified in Limited, a slightly easier division for the same shooter due fewer reloads. But in Single Stack, like Limited, a division I have not shot and consider a more challenging division than either L10 or Limited, I am? Please 'splain...my head hurts... Jim
  19. I'm quite adept at tearing down my 1911. I'll take your comment as a statement that a new sear spring should drop in to replace the old one without any tweaks or modifications to make it work right. Do I understand you correctly? Chris Well, a qualified yes. If it's installed right it will work. But, as Matt states some tension tweaking will make for a nicer trigger pull. Buy a few to experiment with. Thinking about this makes me wish I still owned a couple 1911's. Jim
  20. Re-centering the hammer strut during the mainspring housing installation can be a little tricky. But, overall the 1911 is pretty dang simple to completely disassemble and reassemble. Normally you can drop in the sear spring and do function testing. No welding or grinding necessary. Take a look here... http://www.m1911.org/full_striping.htm Jim
