  1. Joe, Good. I'll look for the results here. This sort of gets my goat. The base pad mfg 'should' indicate the what the capacity will be with various style/gen of mag. Not might be. Oh well.
  2. When I refer to sites that sell the part, they all say +6 in 9mm and +5 in 40S&W. Some make mention "Will fit Pre-Ban FML an NFML mags" but nothing about followers. Nothing about certain combinations of parts needed to get to this magic +5 ...still scratching my head. Your right Flex...three will do for me. Three equal sized mags on my belt won't effect my aerodynamics.
  3. I'm about to drop $150.00 + or - on four of their mag extensions. I have new 15 round FML (not L.E.O.) mags with the #7 displayed at the top of the follower. What will my increased capacity be? Jim
  4. Yes. A Ransom Rest. Jim ...your accuracy is excellent. Especially from a compact semi-auto.

Seems to be working fine for me. Sorry to hear your having difficulties.
  7. Yep their is a curve involved with this holster. I set the thumb on the "ledge" and start the draw with the four fingers while pushing off with the thumb. I find, for some reason, that drawing from surrender a little faster than from hands at side. I suppose because I'm dropping down to the gun my hand orientates itself. I'm getting faster with this holster. It's a keeper. Jim
  8. No worries. It's the DVD producers choice how to present the film. Normally called "aspect ratio". Some fill the 16x9 screen, some leave space at the top and bottom. Just pick up "Wide Screen" versions of your DVD choice. It represents the theatrical version or the the closest thing to it for todays HDTV's. Jim
  9. The LCI require a specific spring loaded bearing, model/caliber dependent... ...hope this helps, type: 'bearing' in the search window. http://glockparts.com/tab0/page/qtoy/Home/...gecode%253Dqtoy Jim
  10. I shoot the Drillmasters monthly match. It is amazing how simple the drills look on paper. Shooting them on the other hand is anything but simple. It is a whole lot of fun to shoot with this bunch though. You really learn something every time out.
  11. If money is no object go S_I by all means. I might suggest working up to it. The CZ is a fine gun. I have not seen one out there however, the TS that is. Lots of people shoot production or single stack first. Far to many BIG DOLLAR rigs show up on USPSA classified. They just lost interest. It happens. If I were to start all over, I'd shoot a Glock 35 in production and Limited 10. And if my interest grew I would use a built up G35 and play in Limited. I'm doing that now by the way. But, like I said. if you can throw thousands at it, do it.
  12. Here is where I found some mag info... http://www.glockfaq.com/magazine.htm ...especially the Ben Paz stuff from Glockmeister
  13. I bought the 35 this afternoon. Basically in unfired condition. 3rd gen. built in '98. Here is the kicker. Included in the box is a threaded KKM barrel and a two port compensator! It too appears unfired.
  14. Starting to second guess my logic. My gun of choice since '04 has been the XD 40 Tactical. Use it for both production and some L10. It's a great gun for either division. I've decided before I die to shoot Limited. After some contemplation my XD does not appear to have the 'bones' of a limited gun. It's close, but that ain't good enough. The Glock 35 on the other hand does, at least in my opinion. I can buy a used 35 for a prayer from an acquaintance. My dilemma is this. Glocks with extended mag bases offer 20+1. The XD and the new Novak (coming soon?) extension offer 16+1. Everyone sells Glock parts. No one sells XD parts comparatively. The thought of making a single reload on a 33 round stage is, well, attractive. Does this change in platform make sense to you? Jim
  15. IMO the rules are what make this game worth participating in. What's the alternative? Dozens of people showing up with weird guns, thousands of rounds of ammo.....and a few rules....hmmm. Let's just keep showing up, shoot our game, and help , so others can shoot theirs.
  16. Wow, between the two XD's I own, and the thousands of rounds run through them the last three years. I didn't realize they were breaking so much. Nothing I enjoy more then "inter-web" gun reviewers. Sig, Heckler & Koch, Glock, CZ, Springfield Armory, Para and Smith & Wesson make GREAT production guns. Narrow your choice down to a couple two or three. Rent them if you can. Shoot each as much as possible. Then you, and ONLY you will know "the best gun". Have fun.
  17. Shot this at Rio Salado on Sat. XD 40 Tactical L10 Points 48 Time 8.84 Hit factor 5.4299 The two C's on the second paper stung a bit.
  18. +1 I use the same rig for my .40 Tactical in L10. When I feel like shooting production I just slide everything back behind the hip. One thing negative however. The CR Versa Pouch instructions. It's American English/South African translation is really BAD. IMHO Jim
  19. You sit in a ''mining cart'' at the top with the RO sitting behind you. It releases and down you go. Not real fast but fast enough. Targets are beneath you and on both sides. Super high "disaster factor". Funny as heck to watch. Funny to shoot, not so much.
  20. Here you go. Come out to Phoenix/Mesa, AZ. We have our "Hosemasters" match on Sat. Nov 25th and TGO's Drillmasters Club shoot on Sun the 26th. All at Rio Salado Sportsman's Club. http://riosaladosportsmans.com/calendar/month.php
  21. mcb My hands are big enough to palm a basketball. I don't know if thats big or average. I think they are on the thin side though. My strong hang grip is high. The thumb is above the "thumb indentation" on the frame. It hovers (pointing at the target) at the slide release. Half the thumb is above the frame/slide "line". As far as grip tape goes, no. I only apply it to the sides of the grip. Out of curiosity I applied a small strip of thin servo tape at the bottom of the safety. A major improvement. Looks like I have some work to do. I might even try a fingerless golf glove with a little "web" build up.
  22. ..hmmm, maybe a drop or two of epoxy near the bottom, I can remove as much as I want and shape it as well. Yeah, me like it. Thanks!
