  1. Sounds good! I’m thinking about picking that one up to use 1911 springs too.
  2. i just put a floyds custom magwell on mine and fitment is very good. Once i cut my grips I’ll post a photo. What are your thoughts on the tungsten guide rod?
  3. 3.2 grains of sport pistol and and jacketed 124's cycles fine in my CZ's, shoots a <1" group at 20 yards and makes a 96 power factor. I use it for bowling pins.
  4. I would go direct mount. I have two shadow 2’s- one with a plate system, one direct mill. I greatly prefer the lower mount of the direct mill.
  5. Check 22-04, i shot a 78 on it recently. Open center target/head box, reload and two partial’s.
  6. I’m going to run a little bit of a hodgepodge in spirit of the DWX. Most likely those patriot defense grips that I posted cut down to fit the floyds magwell and henning basepads with 24+1 mbx spring/follower. The backup grip would be thin LOK’s with a silicone carbide treatment.
  7. Thanks. I ordered a couple and will post up when I get them and can test.
  8. Any chance you know if the original Henning extensions work? I know on the Shadow 2 the original hennings work with both the floyds and armory craft magwells but I’m unsure about the DWX/TS
  9. For now... There's a lot of people with limited guns in .40 pissed that there is no major scoring. I could see them adding major/minor scoring to LO next year when it's no longer provisional. Which also makes me not want to spend any amount of real money on a LO gun even though I have a DWX. If LO stays minor I will likely make the switch next year. If they add Major scoring I will stick to CO or at least not use a dedicated LO gun for competing in LO.
  10. You have to set boundaries. I’m new to USPSA and competition shooting sports in general- shot my first match in February of this year. I usually run the pad, and just recently started taking the timer. I’m giving up shooting two matches I normally attend next month to take the RO class. I’m taking it with another guy in his mid 20’s. Around here I feel like we have an equal part mix of “I’m too old to do anything that helps out”, and “I’m too new I don’t know what I’m doing (and I’m also not willing to try)”. We need an influx of new blood. Same thing with setup and tear down. My personal boundaries are I will help out the match in anyway I can- timing, taping, scoring, and I will either help set up or help tear down. I don’t take any discounts. I try to force newer people into scoring because 1) the “new” excuse usually doesn’t work when I’m “more new” than them, and 2) it’s a way to learn everyones name.
  11. Looks like a floyds but i cant tell if its the shadow 2 or TS version
  12. There is, it's only 2 MOA though. I'm hoping they come out with a green 407 Comp with a 6 MOA reticle and I'll consider switching from my SRO's.
  13. Shot 22-05 this week twice, once in CO and once in LO. Kinda funny that LO percentages were lower than CO on a classifier where you had mandatory reloads! I shot them both with my CO Shadow 2 and still used DA/SA but I'll be setting one of my two Shadow 2's up with a Magwell to facilitate better reloads for an eventual switch to LO. I'm not convinced they won't introduce Major scoring, in which case I'll probably stay in CO. Either way getting my first LO classifier score which happens to be my highest classifier (82.8) with my Carry Optics gun felt good. LOL
  14. Personally I sent it to a place that didn't require Cerakote on the entire slide. Like you I think the DLC coating is superior. The only place I found is Stonebridge Gunworks. They did my Shadow 2 slide that I'm very happy with and have my DWX slide right now. Last I checked their turn around is also only 2-3 weeks.
  15. Nothing up that way that I know of which is kind of surprising. Buena Vista has a really nice range by the dump. Bunch of steel targets out to 600 yards. Pistols were not my focus the last time I was there though so not sure what they have in terms of open berms. Pueblo has a monthly match that's a good time. It will be on July 9th. Check out www.ecouspsa.com for a schedule of most stuff in the front range. If you want to go as far as Palisade, there's a great local match in Cameo as well, I believe it will be the 15th. Expect it to be HOT. It's all on PractiScore but unfortunately not super friendly to outsiders. Most match directors randomly post sign-up links a few days before the match and they're all a bit different. There's a gmail list you can get on that would give you an email update. There's a link for it on the ECOUSPSA page.
  16. Same footprint as the SRO? I have 3 SRO’s but I’d like to try a green one. Especially if they eventually come out with just a 6 or better yet 8 MOA version.
  17. Does anyone know if RMR does Fathers Day or 4th of July sales? I recently switched to their 124 MW's and need to make another order. I was going to hold out a bit to see if they usually do Holiday sales before putting in a big order.
