  1. Thanks for the response. I’m newer but I want to get more involved. Taking the RO class next month and we’ll see where it goes. I’ve been trying to run the timer or the pad as much as I can lately.
  2. I wear a size 11 glove- XL. I’ve tried a bunch of grips and even went as far as picking up a hand dyno to test grip strength at various thickness’. Even with big hands, when using palm swells my support hand grip strength is roughly 10% lower than with LOK thin grips.
  3. Nobody? Lol… I guess that means I’m not the only one confused. Another alternative I question is would one of my current F flagged scores become a B since they are 5% under my current rating and the 57% will be a new F
  4. Currently ranked B but jacked up a classifier when a mag didn't seat and ended up with a 57%. I figured it would have been a B flag and under 55% but it wasn't. My classification record is attached. The Y flagged 66% is going to drop off and be replaced with this 57%. I have two F flag scores from when I was C class at 38% and 52% still even though I'm currently in B class. When I shoot another match on thursday and the next update happens my assumption is that the lowest F flag (38%) will drop off because it's not within my most recent 8 anymore. What happens if the classifier I shoot on Thursday is a B flag or under 55%? Then the 57% from today will stand with a Y flag because B flags are not counted within your most recent 8? That will continue to happen until I shoot higher than a 57% correct? At which point the 57% from today will become an F flag?
  5. I'm not talking about starting a new club, but if someone was stepping down or lost interest how does your club handle it? Vote, 'Ol boys club, etc?
  6. Theres a guy that shoots a lot of local matches that has one of each. I took a 2 day class with him a couple months ago as well. He's selling/sold his steel rival in favor of the poly gun. Not sure if it was ammo but that thing was constantly giving him problems. Both in the class (where he switched to the poly) and then multiple different matches leading up to that. Matter of fact I can recall 3 different people with steel versions having issues at matches.
  7. Ive been using this since February. Very durable so far even when loaded down with two guns and 1000 rounds. For a normal local match everything fits inside including 6 mags, my gun, 400 rounds, and my belt.
  8. No shooters meeting at at least a few matches around here. Show up at your assigned bay from practiscore, and start blasting at the start time. Roll call at the start of the first stage. Yea i’ve been rebalanced before too, not that big of a deal.
  9. Just sent mine to Stonebridge for an optic cut. Magwell is next but it’s pretty confusing trying to figure out what works. Lots of contradictory reports
  10. I ended up switching to flat nose acme 147’s and I could reload up to 1.16, ended up loading them to 1.13 so they would also work in my P10F. Ive recently switched to RMR 124’s and load them to 1.10. This was too long for my DWX so PD is reaming that barrel right now.
  11. My legion X5 came with a factory 12lb spring that i can one handed “air rack”. It definitely seems sketchy. Holding the gun vertically and racking the slide it will not go fully into battery. I like the way the gun behaves with the 12lb spring better but refuse to use it.
  12. Im also fairly new to pistol reloading but from what ive read loading longer (like rifles) generally doesnt help pistol accuracy. I ended up having my CZ’s reamed because i had to load blue 147rn’s to something ridiculous like 1.06
  13. I was trying to leave the morals out of it as it doesn't pertain to his question but personally you can’t shoot at the range I’m speaking of when they're setting up because there’s only two bays and they use them both. Otherwise i think we’re in agreement! Morally speaking it’s personally irritating that all the old farts sit outside while the expectation is the young guys setup. Ive had two serious back injuries and have a toddler at home, my time is just as valuable. I usually help setup OR tear down but not both. Many hands make light work. Matches around here are usually full with at least 40 shooters. Especially when they're willing to pick up brass the entire match instead of focus on the match… i digress
  14. I dont think match officials have any say in what happens outside of the match before someone signs in. You're potentially preventing a business from making money too. I know locally i am a member at an indoor range and I usually shoot there an hour or two before the match starts. The range closes, you sign in, and setup starts.
  15. I would argue that only applies during the posted time of the match. If the match starts at 5, setup starts at 4, and you’re there from 3-4 at another bay practicing, or even 4-5 then the match rules don’t apply to you during that time. Now if you shoot a stage and then run over to an open bay before your next stage to practice dry firing you would be DQ’ed.
  16. Kind of a grey area isn’t it? Public range before the official start time on a bay not used for the competition? My assumption would be you are following range rules at that point not uspsa. Ive actually done that quite a bit at my local indoor match. Or to play devils advocate even more, I’m out at the public range practicing and I see the guys setting up for a match that I didn’t know was happening. I walk over and sign up… now I DQ myself? Lol
  17. Thanks, should have checked there before google!
  18. Looking to make a few out of some cardboard I have, but having a heck of a time finding the dimensions. Anyone care to help me out?
  19. Ditto. They've done two of my barrels and are doing a 3rd right now.
  20. For those of you running a magwell on your DWX please post photos and which magwell you are using.
  21. The DWX is designed to feel like a CZ. Basically a CZ grip on a 1911/2011 upper. The trigger is classic 1911. The TS2O is single action similar to the 75 series. Most of the upper parts share an aftermarket with 1911’s. The trigger bow is one of the differences though. Pre-travel isn’t terrible by any means but for a competition gun I think taking some out would be advantageous. To be honest it probably doesn’t really even matter other than when dry firing the gun. The bigger issue to me in stock format was the 4lb trigger pull.
  22. A few cents here or there isn’t going to stop me from shooting how much I want. If that’s your situation I’m sorry maybe the focus shouldn’t be shooting though! I can find CCI 500’s for $65/1k locally. I’m using more expensive jacketed bullets so reloading costs me about the same as purchased remanufactured ammo. If I was using coated still I could reload for 17/18 cents a round. I do both depending on what my ammo needs are.
