  1. Hello! I live in Colerain, shoot at Impact, and shoot matches at Oxford and Miami when I can.
  2. All of my Glocks run stock springs and an Apex connector with some grease on it. I actually like the smooth factory trigger a lot for a rolling break using the first joint of my finger (joint closest to the tip, rather than the pad) like I would for a DA
  3. Is the OP asking about the best practice for firing 2 shots in a match, or about the actual doubles drill from Stoeger? Those are two completely different things which is why you see two conflicting answers here. Shooting in a match, depending on the target, you’ll be waiting for a second sight picture or predicting that it will be where you want for close targets. for the actual Doubles Drill, you want to be firing the second shot as fast as you can possibly pull the trigger and using inductive learning to see what grip and vision gets that second shot into the A zone repeatedly for you.
  4. I’ve seen the extra power 6lb trigger spring cause a gun with a below OEM (5.5lb) striker spring to have reset issues.
  5. @Jim Watson Wouldn’t he have to be breaking the 180 to do that? Ive exclusively carried and shot from appendix for 7 years now including IDPA and the muzzle should not be deviating much left and right….
  6. Enjoying your journal as always. Seems like the journaling is really important to you as well, we readers are just here for the ride!
  7. Which 407 and which EPS haha? There's the 407C and 407K, and the EPS and the EPS Carry.
  8. Yep, every Glock I touch has a stock trigger and springs with an Apex connector.
  9. That is not something that people do. Sounds like an equipment problem
  10. I only shoot 1-2 USPSA matches a year due to scheduling conflict with Church, while IDPA is on Saturdays. But when I do shoot USPSA I'll go from A fudgecicle nobody but a few crayon chewers and winder likkers want to Prod 15.
  11. https://www.italianfirearmsgroup.com/tanfoglio/firearms/pistol-competition A lot of the old models are available still. Look for EAA Witness on gun.deals
  12. If anything, Production going to 15 strengthens the case for combining L10 and SS.
  13. I shot my first 5 or so IDPA matches in ESP, then 1 in October in SSP. The 10 round mags had a much more natural stage flow.
  14. Like others have said, practice and acclimation are the basic answers. I helped myself a lot with this dry firing complex stages in my basement, and making an easier remembered plan and then walking it and rehearsing 10-20 times. After a match or two it becomes an amazing autopilot feeling. I can literally still "see" the sights lifting of of targets through my whole stage plan from my last USPSA Match in July. Anderson also says that a well executed, imperfect stage plan beats a poorly executed "perfect" stage plan every time. Execution of the plan you are confident in wins every time.
  15. I wonder if that is affected by the sheer volume of shooters choosing CO over Lim Major though?
  16. What about AIWB with a thigh strap? Agreed on gear placement regulations kinda being pointless- should be shooter's choice from a competiton standpoint, and allow people working from their carry or duty gear as well. I shoot from AIWB concealed.
  17. Yes- 40 plus ounce guns fit nicely in Limited Optics.
  18. I compete with a 45 and carry either the 45 or a 48
  19. I see Whan's post as a near perfect division setup, but I would have a 30 or 35ish ounce weight limit in CO and Production. Weight matters more than trigger.
  20. Well this aged well haha.
