  1. Hey, that looks familiar. I think this can probably be adapted to several different holsters(I've also seen someone do it with a Comp-Tac International) and it works well. Really solves the problem of how much retention is too much or too little. I have a GX holster as well. Good stuff, however, my story is virtually identical to the OPs. Caveat Emptor, and all that.
  2. Shot yesterday. Squeaked out an A. Carry Optics 5.56 seconds 5A 1C 5.0360 HF 75.45%
  3. Shot again at Vortex yesterday. Completely screwed up the reload(2.74) but still was a bit over 64%. 11A 5C, a competent reload would have resulted in a high A. Guess I'm doing more reloads in dryfire:P My left to right transitions are better so I went bottom/right then left/top.

    Shadow 2 holster dilemma

A cam lock as posted above is probably the best solution. "Unlatch" the cam lock at make ready, latch it when you holster. Can be done with thumb screws as well, but the cam lock is quicker and repeatable. Gun comes out easy when unlocked, won't come out with it locked unless you're a 300# gorilla.
  5. No problem. Personally I think they fit MY hands better. Everyone is different, though. The grippiness, however, is objectively better on the Patriot Defense product.
  6. I'm at .18-.19/round, process my own brass. At 2K/month that is a $120 savings. Of course there is your time, and the reloading components. If you have the time for the former and can buy the latter, you can recoup the costs fairly quickly if you sustain that rate of consumption each month. That's before getting into being able to have full control of your cartridge, which is also a major advantage over factory ammunition. Primers are the main issue right now. A month or two ago I could find limited primers(I use Federal) but in the past month there's been absolutely nothing other than large Magnum primers at the 3 local-ish places I frequent. I am having to cut back on my live fire because I am almost out of primers and can't find any currently. Online sources seem to be massively overpriced if they happen to have stock.
  7. At the least, the rules are very unclear or if they are, difficult to interpret easily. That is obvious by the voting results. Virtually no one chose “no penalty.”
  8. With Patriot defense grips. Empty nickel mag with Henning basepad, SRO for optic. The solid LokGrips make the gun .2 ounces lighter.
  9. Concur. I had the brass palm swell Lok Grips and the Patriot Defense grips weigh the same and are MUCH more aggressive. The Lok feel slippery in comparison.
  10. I don't believe the Orange is available as an optic-ready version. If it is, it isn't listed on CZ's website.
  11. CL49 shoots in our local club. Might just be the oldest active member...
  12. Just to update this for anyone who may be looking for info: 1.108-1.110 OAL (anything longer didn't spin in the chamber) 3.3g N320 and Federal GM small pistol primers. FPS 938-978 resultant PF of 137-143.
  13. A squib ruined my match a couple weeks ago. I try to be careful and watch but occasionally one gets by for some reason(not a fault of the powder drop, pull a bad casing or perhaps one where the primer didn't seat, now I get out of order and a casing gets by the drop and a bullet gets seated without powder). I've added a LED light setup from Inline Fabrication to the press, but am considering adding a powder check/alarm as well. Does anyone have an opinion or experience with DAA's magnetic check? It will fit my Hornady LNL press.... https://benstoegerproshop.com/daa-reloading-magnetic-powder-check-2-0-by-double-alpha/ Other recommendations are welcome too. TY in advance.
  14. Trying to work up a load for my Shadow 2. Using BB 147 flat points. I have fit the bullet into a fired case, seated the case in the chamber and am getting 1.129-1.142 on the OAL using 20 rounds. A seated/crimped cartridge in the chamber will not rotate unless I'm around 1.104-1.108 OAL, anything above is rubbing when I try to spin the casing. Do these numbers seem about correct? I know the CZs sport shorter chambers which require shorter OALs. Planning on starting with 3.3 grain of N320. Just seeing if anyone wants to take a look at my numbers before I go loading a couple hundred to test. TIA. Not used to this, usually I just use generic book numbers and send it with my X5 Legion(roast me). Little different for the CZ.
  15. Odd. I've ran a number of rounds of 150g Syntech (1K through my Shadow 2, 1K through the X5 Legion, probably a couple hundred through my Staccato as well) without issue.
  16. Thanks. Good reading, not something I was knowledgeable on. My 320 has ate everything I've ever fed it, factory ammo and reloads. I've always just followed generic OAL and charge data from reloading handbooks without issue. I'll go a bit deeper working up a load for the CZ. I need an excuse to buy a chrono anyways.
  17. Flat points or round nose? OAL? I'm going to load a couple K of BB 147 flat points, and the local shop has some N320. I have a whole jug of W231, but seems it might be a little too fast burning for the combo.
  18. I am going to be loading some coated 147s and W231 soon. But they are flat points. Any input on a starting size for length?
  19. Odd. I just used my AMEX and it went through. I do know some card companies are sticklers for "odd" transactions. In that case you'd probably need to call them ahead of time as stated.
  20. I've tried to dig through this thread a bit, but haven't really found a definitive answer to the issue I'm having. I installed CGW's reach reduction kit with floating trigger pin and reduced power trigger spring. Didn't really have any issues changing the parts. With the slide off, the weapon functions properly in DA and SA mode. I can cock the hammer with the trigger and it falls(I am not letting it fall completely as to avoid damage) and if I cock the hammer the trigger will also drop it in SA mode. When I install the slide, nothing works. Trigger stays rearward and hammer won't fall. Suggestions on what to look for? ETA - got it guys. Inside leg of disconnector needs some clearancing.
