Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Hey, that looks familiar. I think this can probably be adapted to several different holsters(I've also seen someone do it with a Comp-Tac International) and it works well. Really solves the problem of how much retention is too much or too little. I have a GX holster as well. Good stuff, however, my story is virtually identical to the OPs. Caveat Emptor, and all that.
  2. Shot yesterday. Squeaked out an A. Carry Optics 5.56 seconds 5A 1C 5.0360 HF 75.45%
  3. Shot again at Vortex yesterday. Completely screwed up the reload(2.74) but still was a bit over 64%. 11A 5C, a competent reload would have resulted in a high A. Guess I'm doing more reloads in dryfire:P My left to right transitions are better so I went bottom/right then left/top.

    Shadow 2 holster dilemma

A cam lock as posted above is probably the best solution. "Unlatch" the cam lock at make ready, latch it when you holster. Can be done with thumb screws as well, but the cam lock is quicker and repeatable. Gun comes out easy when unlocked, won't come out with it locked unless you're a 300# gorilla.
  5. No problem. Personally I think they fit MY hands better. Everyone is different, though. The grippiness, however, is objectively better on the Patriot Defense product.
  6. I'm at .18-.19/round, process my own brass. At 2K/month that is a $120 savings. Of course there is your time, and the reloading components. If you have the time for the former and can buy the latter, you can recoup the costs fairly quickly if you sustain that rate of consumption each month. That's before getting into being able to have full control of your cartridge, which is also a major advantage over factory ammunition. Primers are the main issue right now. A month or two ago I could find limited primers(I use Federal) but in the past month there's been absolutely nothing other than large Magnum primers at the 3 local-ish places I frequent. I am having to cut back on my live fire because I am almost out of primers and can't find any currently. Online sources seem to be massively overpriced if they happen to have stock.
  7. At the least, the rules are very unclear or if they are, difficult to interpret easily. That is obvious by the voting results. Virtually no one chose “no penalty.”
  8. With Patriot defense grips. Empty nickel mag with Henning basepad, SRO for optic. The solid LokGrips make the gun .2 ounces lighter.
  9. Concur. I had the brass palm swell Lok Grips and the Patriot Defense grips weigh the same and are MUCH more aggressive. The Lok feel slippery in comparison.
  10. I don't believe the Orange is available as an optic-ready version. If it is, it isn't listed on CZ's website.
