Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I did need to use the Jagerworks screws, the factory screws were too long. Just an fyi, but they do not have free shipping anymore. I snagged one of the S2 OR’s from Ben Stoeger’s Black Friday sale and ended up needing another set of screws. I think it was $9 or so to ship them, which kind of sucked.
  2. Well, I got it done! It took about three times as long as I expected, and there was a point when I was trying to get the old hammer pins out and new in that I thought “I am going to have to mail this whole mess of pistol and parts to someone who knows what they’re doing”, but it’s done! There were no leftover mystery parts, and everything seems to work the way it’s supposed to. The trigger feels great with the black “light” hammer spring, hopefully it’ll reliably set off my ammo. I plan on getting to the indoor range in the next few days and will bring along the blue spring and tools to change it there if it doesn’t. As is usually the case with this sort of project, I have a much better understanding of how the whole thing works now after doing it. Now I suppose I’ll need to order another kit to do the same to my other S2. Thanks for the video leads and encouragement.
  3. That is a great compilation. I’m going to start with the reach reduction kit video you have on there later today, and I think that’ll get me going the right direction. Thanks for the help!
  4. Can anyone point me at one? I got all the parts from Cajun this week, and would like to get working on it this weekend. I just assumed that this would be one of the videos on their web page, but if it is I can not find it. If anyone knows of one on their site or elsewhere, I’d be much obliged for a link. I’m reasonably mechanically-inclined, fairly competent, and enjoy doing this sort of thing, so I believe I can get this done. A video would go a long way for me though, vs the written instructions on the site. Thanks for any help! Erik
  5. Roger that. I've spent a fair amount of money at BSPS in the last year, might as well spend some more there. Thanks!
  6. Nice! Mine was delivered and I picked it up from the FFL this afternoon. Ordered Wednesday 11/23 evening. I can’t imagine how many of these he must have sold at that price.
  7. Good info, appreciate that. For the springs. would you recommend CZ factory springs, or something else? Any good places to order from? Thanks!
  8. Hi folks, I’ve been shooting USPSA for just over a year. I come from a rifle shooting background, and have never shot a ton of pistol prior to this last year. I’ve always had them, they just weren’t my focus. As best as I can figure, I’ve put about 5,000 rounds through my S2 in that time. I know that isn’t a lot by many shooters’ standards, but I’m wondering what I might expect to fail on it and when? I haven’t done anything to it aside from add Lok grips, and so far have not had any issues whatsoever. Are there any parts that are known weak points that I should keep replacements for, or issues that I might want to keep an eye out for as round counts increase? Thanks for any info. Erik
  9. Just a follow-up on this. I couldn’t resist the $1200 S2 CO sale at BSPS, so I needed to order another of the plates from CZ-parts. I ordered it on 11/26 and received it today, 12/5. I don’t even have the pistol yet, but the part from Czech Republic is already in my hand! These guys are alright by me.
  10. Rod left that. I just logged in to the BSPS website and it’s showing mine as “awaiting fulfillment”. Not in any hurry to stick it in the safe, so no big deal. Thanks!
  11. Did you get any shipping notification when they sent yours? I also ordered on Wednesday, but haven’t gotten any updates after that. Thanks for any info!
  12. I saw the email first thing in the morning and couldn’t help but chuckle thinking; “man, that is a crazy price!” I casually checked back at dinner time yesterday figuring they’d all be gone by then, but they weren’t. It’s kind of funny; I started shooting USPSA last October after spending a long time in a totally different shooting discipline. I started out thinking; “This will be a nice, fun, casual hobby for me. I don’t even need to spend much money, heck I’ll just shoot this Glock 34 I already have.” Now it’s 13 months later and I’ve been shooting the Shadow 2 OR for 11 months, and I guess I’ll have a backup S2 OR next week. oh well…
  13. Just following up on this thread. I ordered the plate on 9/17, and it was delivered yesterday on 9/27. I've had domestic orders take longer than that, so I'm pretty happy with 10-day shipping from the other side of the planet. CZ-parts.com is good to go in my book, I wouldn't hesitate to order again.
  14. Thanks, I ordered the screws from Jagerwerks. Free shipping too, nice.
  15. Thanks guys, I went ahead and placed the order. Not in any huge hurry, so no big deal if it takes a little longer to get here, and if it doesn’t that’s even better. Now to start looking for shorter screws!
