I'm starting to load 300 blackout and looking for the best bullet weight, powder type/grains for sub sonic suppressed. I'm running a 9.5" Rainier barrel and an Octaine 45 suppressor if that makes any difference. Any tips or load data is appreciated.

I recently purchased an open gun in .38 Super. Of course being Open I want to run Major PF. I can't seem to find any decent source for current "best practices" loads. I asked an Open shooter this weekend at a match, he said he was using VV 3N38, but the new hotness is CFE-P. I know that the equipment survey taken at Production Nationals had a 147gn pill over 3.2gns of TiteGroup for 41% of the competitors. Does anything like this comparison exist for Open shooters? If not, what's your favorite .38 Super Comp load?

I did a search on the forum and found a little bit of information, but it was sparse. Does anyone have a 255g FP 45acp load using WST? I will be loading Xtreme plated bullets for use in a 625JM. I was going to start with 4.0gns loaded at 1.265." Thanks in advance.

Hey all, I have been researching this on the web for a few days with not really useful info. So I figured I would post my own experience for others. My wife agreed to join me at the range for an afternoon of shooting for my b-day. She isn't crazy about shooting but goes occasionally for me. I want to make sure it is as enjoyable as possible for her, to hopefully make it a little more interesting for her. The two guns I plan to have her shoot are my 9mm STI 5" Eagle (and Tac-Sol Conversion kit) and my 9mm shield. I want to come up with some really light 9mm rounds for her, I am thinking the fastest powder I can use is best. At this time it is WST. I also have a bit of 231, American Select, N320, and Titegroup. My standard minor load for limited minor in the STI is 4gr WST over a 124 SNS @ about 1.140". I figure because I am going to be going so low with the throw weight, to keep the chamber pressure up, I'll use my X-Treme 124 HPs. The plated bullet is a little slower than coated, therefor slightly higher pressure, and the profile of the bullet without adjusting my seating die from the SNS is down around 1.082" will also help with pressure, and complete burning for the powder. Last night I loaded 20-30 rds each of 3.2, 3.4, 3.6, and 3.8. My goal is just to have the gun cycle reliably with the lightest possible recoil. Anyone have any other load suggestions, or experience with the loads I mentioned above? I'll report back results after we go on Saturday. -Eli

I won 500 rounds of Ibeji moly bullets, so I got a 500 pack of their 230gr RNs. This is my first time to use moly - usually, I go with Xtreme plated, but since these are free... So for those using moly, what is your powder of choice? While I'm asking - did you change your recoil spring to accommodate the load? (currently using an 18 or 18.5) Of course, the end goal is to find a load that makes Major and groups well. Thanks in advance!

Just like the title says, what does your assembled Limited, Limited 10, or Single Stack slide weigh? For extra credit: What bullet weight do you prefer, and how would you describe the recoil impulse (as well as any other details you consider relevant)? (edited per suggestion)
