B.J. Norris
Well, Limited is over, now its time for the foo-foo guns to play. Will Eric G come back and win? Or will TJ defend his Open title for one more year?
lynn jones
eric g looks to be really strongly favored, but watch out for that lurker jerry b. lynn

benos
The burner isn't there. Sad. Don't count The Great One out, because now, he's got nothing to lose. He's already accomplished everything he wanted to at this match...
j1b
Did the match start today? I like the odds on Eric in open. Of course if he wins - someone else will be US National Champion. In order to make this interesting I'm going to guess Eric for the win, and TJ for second. Normally I'd favor the odds on TGO, but I think you're right Brian, I think he's done what he came to do, and open probably doesn't matter that much. After a couple of days - if he's in the hunt - I'll change my bet JB

TDean
Eric would be a safe bet, but it's possible the stage designs aren't the best match for him. Low-factor-stages (6-8) might turn his crazy-fast speed against him. I'm thinking Saul Kirsh or Max Michel jr. may take it from Todd this year. Especially since they didn't shoot Limited and have been shooting the dot exclusively. We can't rule Travis Tomasie out either, although he hasn't been very active since becoming active-duty in the Army. I'll bet he's hungrier than anyone! Imagine not being able to handle a gun for 5 months. I'll bet he's been sleeping with it lately. I'll take Max.

TDean
Here's how my simple Excel add-ups go after 5 stages for the 2 super-squads. Obviously not equal since one squad shot stages 1-5 whilst the other shpot 2-6, but interesting to look at especially those in the same squads. PhilTerry
What's with the DNFs reported at the end of day 1 - 3 on stage 1, and 1 each on stages 10 and 11. I didn't think there was any such thing as a DNF anymore!
lynn jones
DNF..did not finish is gone. DNF..did not fire, maybe? vince..yes i'm a bad boy. slap! errol thomas is to be reconded with. i think he would really like just to beat todd j. the ~0.03 points todd beat him at the world shoot is probably a sore spot. go cows! Detlef
I think Eric G is a pretty safe bet for win, but after that it's anyone guess, though my money would be on Todd J for US National Champ... --Detlef
PhilTerry
Back to my earlier post - the interim results after day 1 have Todd J as a DNF on Stage 11, is this an error?
lynn jones
well it looks like max, jr. is out.. 50 pts in penalties. damn i'd like to see the boy win the big one! oh well, there's always next year. he has a good chance to win the 2003 Tenn. Championship, if i don't mess up. lynn
lynn jones
philterry, i think it's an error. todd is on squad 18 and they're not scheduled to shoot that stage until today at 11:45am. the stats person may have enter the wrong shooter number, then tried to correct but couldn't. lynn
shred
Typically a 'DNF' on interim results for nationals is what Lynn said-- a scorekeeper trick to make the scoring program happy once a score has been entered in the wrong place-- you can't delete it, and it's really obvious that it needs to be fixed. Vince Pinto
Lynn, Put down that bottle of Jack Daniels, OK? Better still, send it over here ......... Todd Jarrett beat Brodie McIntosh (not Errol Thomas) by 0.0006 match points at World Shoot XIII. I know we Australians all look alike, and that's why we all wear name tags, although originally we wore numbers on our chests

j1b
Well - Looks like TJ has TGO by about 10. Looks like a pretty close match so far - although I don't know if all scores are accounted for. I couldn't find TGO on one stage the rest had obviously shot on. Looks like most of them are shooting well though. JB
