What brand of bullets are popular in IPSC?  I use Zero brand what are some of the other brands that are popular how about Montana gold?  Anyone have any good places to buy jacketed bullets from.

Another shameless plug for Star.  I use their 200gr.  FMJs.  Good stuff,  good price.

If your in the Indiana/Ohio/Kentucky area and want to try cast stuff try Vulcan casting.  He makes 220gr. cast .40's.  Smooth as buttermilk!  It looks like the slide is crawling,  but it doesn't flip!!!  Let me know if you want more info,  I usually meet him at a match to get my stuff.

Shipping kills on bullets,  if you can find a good source close I would try and make your loads work with it.

Just my 1.99 cents

Just tried some of the new Hornady HAP bullets in my 9X23 and got a 1.25" group at 50 yds in a Ransom Rest!!!  My shooting buddy has one of the AET barrels in his 9X23,  and got a 50 yd. group UNDER 1/2 INCH!!  These were with the 125 gr. 9mm bullets, but they mic .356, so would probably work fine in the Supers too.  The 121 grainers weren't quite as accurate, but not slouchy either.  The bullets are supposed to be the same as their XTPs without the expansion cuts in the hollow point.  They don't expand according to Hornady, just more accurate because of the weight being concentrated in the back end.

Steve on the Laser Cast bullets check their page for a local dealer.  They price them out at full retail, but if you find a local dealer you will probably save 20%.  For some reason they are trying to get away from direct marketing.  As far as smoke is concerned I'm currently using them in my 45 and a friend of mine is using them in the 40 with minimal smoke, their not jacketed but there is a little smoke.

My favorites bullets-

Lead - Bullet Works - http://www.bulletworks.com

Moly - Precision Bullets - http://www.precisionbullets.com

Jacketed - Montana Gold - http://www.montanagoldbullet.com

My primary limited division load is with 200 grain Precision Bullet and Titegroup.  These bullets are more slippery than snot.

For open, I prefer the 124 Montana Gold JHP.  Currently experimenting with some different powders.
