I had a blast at the Alabama sectional with all the Freedom Gunworks and Rudy shooters it looked like a family get together. I shot relatively well with only on Mike the entire match. My times are still where I need to improve. This is going to be where I need to work this year. I ended the match as 2nd "A" and 11th in Production. My first local match at my club went well with 51 shooters braving the cold and again I shot pretty good with no mikes or penalties. All-in-all my season is off to a good start.

Planning for the Ohio match is going very well and takes up a bunch of time. I would like to fill this sucker up and pray for good weather.

After almost 5 years on this forum this will be my 2000th post. I have had a lot of fun getting here and will look forward to post 4000.

Yeah, but 3000 is the magic post whereby you can change your member tag-line.

I keep seeing that said but damned if anything changed allowing me to do anything with mine!

But then again with my computer skills.............

Well, I got my extractor fixed. Turns out it was just dirty. I had a lot of junk under the extractor keeping it from doing its job.

Had our classifier match last Sunday and didn't do as well as I had hoped. I will say that the weather didn't turn out too bad. We had rain for maybe the first 2 stages and then it cleared up.

My highest percentage was on Quicky II at 78%. Chris mentioned that I am taking too much time for my first shot so I will be working on that in my practice.

Well, It has been a while since I posted anything in my diary. I haven't shot nearly as many matches as I would have liked but finances are keeping it to a minimum. Since Micah has come back to Production I have been placing 2nd at most local matches. I need to learn how to trim my times down. Some of my problems are just poor execution of a perfectly good plan but most are transitions and movement. I'm still having difficilty with being smooth. I need to work these issues out because I intend to try my hand in Limited next season with my new M&P40 Pro (currently being worked on by Freedom Gunworks).

Just got back from shooting and working the Indiana State match. I had a great time. This was my last major of the season. I wish I could have shot a few of the stages a little better but it is what it is.

I need to work on distance shots, transitions (has been a problem for a while) and looking for alternatives in my stage planning. I could cut out some time in just learning to look for alternatives.

I going before the BOD of our club and asking for dates to run the 2012 Ohio Sectional soon. The planning for that match has already begun. It will be a while before our match reaches the level of the Indi match but I am working toward that end.

Next season may see me driving a different pistol in a different division. I will be working in the off season to prepare for a that.

Hey, I shot both States this year and although I'm a Hoosier, I felt lucky to drive over and participate in a quality match in Ohio. Get the dates set and I'm sure more Indiana shooters will come again in 2012!!

I have never shot a more mind blowing stage than that memory stage on top the hill. Then that one stage with the stomp activator with 4, or was it 5, moving targets was AWESOME!

What! When did that happen? What are you thinking of branching off to?

I had a great time this Sunday with great weather. I was happy with my shooting but I see lots of room for improvement. I had a malfuction on stage 2 that cost me a great run but it appears I was wasn't the only one with issues. I'm going to have to get Corey out of Production and back into Single Stack. :roflol:

We have one more match at MRPC for the season and a lot of planning and work to be done to get ready for the 2012 Ohio Championship in May. I need to start working on several areas to improve my shooting not the least of which is to lose more of this extra fat. I seem to be going through the same drill every season and can't seem to keep up with my plan. Most of the problems in the past have been related to time. I don't have enough to get to a gym or something goes wrong and I can't make it to a gym. So my plan for this off season is going to be a little different. My workouts are going to be simple. Push ups, Sit ups, running/walking anything that I can do at the house or while working. I will have a gym available to me and will use it when time permits. Doing anything at this point is better than doing what I have been doing....nothing. Staying away from the drive thru is a big one. Next season I will be trying to break into Limited division with my new M&P40 Pro. I need to work up a load and start working on NOT doing a reload every time my foot leaves the ground. In other words I have a lot to keep me busy for the next 4 to 5 months.

I had a great time at Silvercreek this Sunday. I had several stages that I did well on but a couple I could have done a LOT better on. I'm going to work on fundamentals in my dry fire for a while. I feel that I am in a rut with my shooting. I don't see a lot of improvement. Guess it's time to start putting a lot more effort into practice.

I have a few more matches before the end of the month. I will be at the Indiana SS/Prod/Rev match, the last MRPC match for the season and I may get to shoot in a Police Charity match the same weekend as the Indi match.
