Modoc
Brothers and Sisters of the Single Stack - I am coming home, looking for enlightenment.............. My Bride is interested in an Autoloading handgun to compliment her revo and I was wondering if any here had experience with the Springfield Ultra Compact 9mm? We have not found any locally to fondle. On the plus side, none of the POPs have felt good in her hands, but she did like the Baretta Cheeta (.380 single stack). This will be a CCW with an occasional USPSA match in the bargain. So, do you like it, Hate it? How does it compare to the Kimber Ultra Cary 45? Thanks all

Feels good and handles well and really light. I can not vouch for function but the two I've seen (i shot one) worked and fed ball and hollowpoints. tpcdvc
Tim, its not like we actually get to vote lol Sure...right....ok... But I know you guys all have secret decoder rings and a secret hand shake. But it's alright, I had just hoped to be an instrumental part of God's plan to stamp out the ignorance that causes so many lost soles to cradle the plastic abomination. I had hoped to help see through the vision of an America where every household has at least two 1911s. An America where the 45acp reigns king and the 9mm is a mere whisper from the past. An America where the "safe action trigger" lays only upon the scrap heap of unsafe and bad ideas and fast and accurate trigger control can be had by all. An America where our troops are not burdened by a limp noodle shooting, too fat for your hand, better off using your bayonet hip weight. An America that celebrates a national JMB day where we meet together in our national parks to shoot ipsc matches. Instead I will have to sit on the sidelines hoping someday to be a full fledged part of the SSEC knowing I'm simply not worthy. Woe is me. :roflol: Edited December 1, 2008 by tpcdvc

I will never be satisfied with mere voting rights. I won't rest until I am vested KCJMBO. Knight Commander of the JMB Order. In search of knighthood, in April I will embark on a quest. It will be very challenging shooting SS at the FL Open for sure Z, When we first met I believe it was at the 2005 Fla Open. IIRC you were shooting Single Stack in that match. It's always a great match but always full of long field courses with high round counts. Definately a challenge with a low cap gun. I really don't know if I'm going to this one or not. There's a limit to how much time I can get off work and there are other matches I want to attend this year. We'll see.
