Slowhand Posted July 26, 2007 Share Posted July 26, 2007 Been there and you have my deepest sympathies. After my back surgery my surgeon asked me which was worse, kidney stones or back surgery. I told him that compared to kidney stones back surgery was a day at the beach. BTW, my urologist told me that the minerals in our water was the #1 cause of kidney stones. It seems they occur more frequently in fairly distinct geographical areas. The doctors at Duke said I live in the "kidney stone belt" of eastern NC.
