Singlestack
What is the best mag pouch/s for production? I'm thinking the best setup might be 2 doubles and a single but I can't decide which ones would be the fastest. I'm using some old ugly ones right now but I can't go to the FGNs and not look good. eerw
I am using three single kytac pouches and one single safariland 771 pouch..works pretty well.just got to remember to reach that far back..
Nik Habicht
I really like the Bladetech pouches, either singles or doubles. They're very fast and the new tec-lock system offers all the advantages of a paddle coupled with the security of normal slide on the belt mounting. Blade-teck is at http://www.blade-tech.com. However, our local GM uses Safariland 771 or 773 pouches straight up in the appropriate position ----- so if you already have some of those.... cpty1
I presently use two double Fobus pouches and one of the cheap single Glock holders in the middle of my back. The Glock has a very wide belt loop arrangement that can be clipped so the holder can be canted to make for easier access. In shooting most matches I've found many times when I've needed 4 mags, and just felt more comfortable with five. I hope since the FGNs are low cap, it won't be necessary to carry so many mags. Chriss Grube
I just started playing in production. I tried the blade tech, fobus and blackhawk. I'm going to use the 771 Safariland. The mags seem to come out much faster and smoother. Since the rules only address the holster why waste money on something new. I does really suck trying to reach way, way back for that 5th mag on the 42 round assault course!!

vluc
I run a fobus double up on the hip and an Uncle Mike double behind it. The UM sits up higher than the Fobus and I like that low-high set up on the side.
Steve Anderson
I run two uncle Mike's and like 'em OK, but the tension screws are alsways coming loose... I will likely be switching soon. "anybody gotta phillips?" SA
jhgtyre
Steve, Why not just apply a small amount of blue loctite to the tension screws? If they still back out step up to red loctite. It is a lot cheaper than new pouches. -jhgtyre
Steve Anderson
I've always thought of loc tite as being for things that are really torqued hard. I didn't hink it would work as well for a screw in the midle of its threads. You're right though, can't hurt to try... I'll let you know. BradC
You might check out Comp-tac as well. Greg makes some amazingly good stuff. I use it for IDPA and will use it for production if/when I get tired of L10. http://www.comp-tac.com BradC A46143
vluc
try a bit of vacuum hose tube under the head of the screw on the outside of the holster...puts enough tension on the screw to keep it kind of tight.
Flexmoney
I was loosing screws in my Safariland 771's pretty often. Blue Lock-tite did the trick.
