Pezco
Micah, If Bill's idea to remove the Blue doesn't work let me know and I'll have some of the guys in the lab cook up something.
Micah
Thanks Ralph, Bill's Zyklon-B chemical (hyperbole) worked out great! I was able to remove almost all of the remaining duracoat...especially the coating on the inside of the slide. Combining that with the polishing that was put in at Chris' and my slide looks all the better. Off to the gym for some leg and cardio work before the match today... Micah
I shot the last stage barefoot (sandals are for men, but barefoot is for beasts ) Some good...some bad this weekend, but it was all fun.

Dan Hefta
PB, I like the way your G34 looks, are you going to hardcrome it in the off season?
Micah
I don't think so Dan...I'd rather hang on to the money and use it towards bullets and such. Besides...the tennifer coating on Glocks keeps them pretty much rustproof.
Micah
Very accuracy biased match today at Miamisburg...I was very happy to see Hiro, friend from California (yoshidaex) change his flight back home to make the match today! Hiro is exceptionally talented, and certainly one to look for at Nationals. I had a steady performace today...I am able to identify the stages that require the need for more accuracy...but often times (like today) I sacrifice more speed that it requires. The only notes that I have from the video are that the second to last stage required 4 shots on each target. Oh yeah...and the song in the video is "Tank!" by Japanese blues band (シートベルツ (SEATBELTS)
yoshidaex
Micah, It was AWESOME shooting with you guys. I had a blast. it would have been nice if i could have stayed and partake in the after match camradarie but I had a flight to catch. Everyone was great. Chris, Bill, Adrian, Dan and the numerous others that were there. It was a nice change of scenery that i'm used to (a ton of dirt smack dab in the middle of cow country). When I'm back that way, I'll make sure to stop by and shoot another match with you guys. For those that were there who are heading to the nationals, we'll have to get together and have a few beers. Micah
Hiro, it was our pleasure to have you come out and shoot with us! ANYTIME you find yourself out this way, you have a home here in Dayton. BTW-You're one heck of a shooter man! Rippin .12 splits on the move without sleep was impressive

Micah
Thanks guys (and lol Paul!) It seems that the winding road of my undergrad in psy and M.Ed found a home with my new teaching home, as my students are sent to me from other districts who do not have the capacity/specialists to deal with their ED. I'm pretty darn stoked about it! Time to start mapping out the 2010 season

Micah
Shot a Steel Challenge type match at Cville on Saturday, and had a great time! Big ups to Chad R for constructing a well planned and smooth match I rarely eat at matches, but the provided pizza was well needed given the "wild and crazy" educators party that I went to the night before. On my agenda for the week is plenty of dryfire (really?) and a little livefire before the weekend. I will be heading up to the MI match on Friday after my schools open house, and hope to get a peek at the stages for Saturday. If not...no big whoop, I'll just get there early and walk them on Sat morning. After that match, I swing back through Toledo to pick up the wife and get home with enough time to unpack before the club match Sunday at MRPC. It has been exceptional convenient having all of my ammo loaded during the winter months so that I do not have the need to buy components and load up tons of ammo during the shooting season. Now that I am actually getting paid to teach again, I will follow this same plan once again.
