konkapot
Re zeroing an open gun. @25yds group is 8 inches high. Cannot adjust elevation any lower. Help
barry
What changed about gun. Why do you have to re zero?
konkapot
Got the comp reamed. Tried three different bullet lots; all were tumbling before reaming. Now, after reaming, bullets are making nice clean holes, but groups are quite high. 8 inches high might have been a little charitable.
BritinUSA
Is the mount inline with the slide or the barrel? It should be mounted about 1º downwards so it's inline with the barrel. If its not you may be able to buy a shim for the mount/scope that increases the downward angle. But if the group is high then you need to RAISE the dot, not lower it. NorthwestGuy
Agree with BritinUSA. Consider a 1 degree shim, if the Cmore mounting base will accommodate one. Edited February 1 by NorthwestGuy
barry
If this is a new build or new to you used gun yes. If sighted in before tumbling problem would be something else. Was scope and or mount off gun for reaming was done?
konkapot
Gun has been mine for about 15k rounds. No problem zeroing at all. Eventually had some trouble with tumbling bullets. Reaming only involved the barrel. Went to zero today with the above posted results.

waynes_world_45
Mine did that when a couple screws from the mount into the frame loosened ever so slightly
shred
Does it adjust at all? You might want to pop it off the mount (it's not zeroed, so no big loss) and inspect the block underneath and surrounding plastic for cracks. Also push hard on the mount to see if that moves any and check the dot module is seated well and doesn't wiggle.
